Will you be cutting costs on Christmas this year? Has you started your shopping?

In a weak economy pretty much everyone is struggling at the moment, with the holidays rapidly approaching. With all the rising prices, and heating bills will be happening very soon, are you gone to have to cut costs for the Christmas? Christmas has always been big with my family so I know we will be going into even more debt with Christmas coming. I'm lucky enough to have my parents helping out with my son's Christmas. Growing up we were pretty poor and my parents couldn't give us the christmas that they would have liked to given us, but now since they are in better positions financially they help me and my sister our with christmas presents for our kids. So luckily our kids will still pretty much have the same. I plan on starting the christmas shopping either this weekend or next weekend. But the bulk of the shopping will be done on black Friday and also cyber monday? Have you started your shopping yet?

Hi philly,
It's my first Christmas that I have no job so I will not be giving gifts to friends and relatives, only messages I guess...I will prioritize my Parents, husband, sister and her hubby as well as my inlaws and that is already a lot for me that is why I am working hard here! LOL!
I know that in the end, hubby will do it for me but still I want to have something from me!
We started already last weekend!

Well as for me, most probably yes. I would be saving money and avoid a few of the goodies that I buy during Christmas such as the extra Hams and other food. I still have to pay off my credit card, spare 50% of my salary for my medicines, and pay other subscriptions such as internet and cable. I will still try to set aside a small amount to celebrate Christmas. We haven't gone shopping yet. We usually go shopping in December. It the Christmas rush but it's still fun. Take care and advanced Merry Christmas!
