How's your name come from?

Ya my name is came from others, but not from my family members. Actaully my dad had a close best friend, they were so close that, my dad kept him name to me. Its a good name, i love it a lot. It meens The one who always ends with winning. Right now i am not married yet, so still not thinking about my children names. He hee. Regards, Jnk3dfx.

I'm named after my grandfathers. It's good to maintain some sort of continuity between the generations by passing on names or perhaps variations and combinations of names form parents or grandparents. For one thing, it helps to commemorate the person who the child is named after.

my name is from my grandmother on my dads side...I was his only child and it is a verry tradional name....so old fashioned I refused to give it to my children...even in there middle names....my first born has my middle name as her middle name.

Hi! my name is given to me by a missionary who have visited our place when i was born. My second name is taken frommy grandmothers name.Which is quiet unique. My father decided on this because he likes us to always remember our foreparents. and also being born as a girl, i wouldnt use my family name anymore if ever i am to be married. so my father devised this strategy wherein even if we are not married our identity and culture would still be preserved. ^___^
