or do you stick to what you have at the moment as long as it's functional? i am never the one to buy the latest cellphone model or anything trendy with respect to technological thingies (mainly out of the incapacity to buy it due to financial reasons 
. but even if i was filthy rich, i would rather spend my money on food rather than on the latest gadgets).

I am not a very technical person, in fact I am not even aware or the techie stuff my phone offers. I am easily overwhelmed by technologies and like you I would rather spend it with food and I am filthy rich, I will spend it on bags, shoes, bags, shoes, and make ups
For the more practicality of things, it is sometimes not advised to dwell on what is new or what is latest gadgets because technology is evolving fast and soon, even before you finished reading the manual of you gadget, another latest one will appear. You know, specially on phones, even before you can afford to buy the newest, there will come another one that offers more. but maybe if all these things are affordable there is no reason why not to buy what is new or latest.

i agree with you. nokia comes up with phone models virtually everyday, it's hard to keep up with it. i recently got a phone (yeah, VERY cheap, you guessed it right 
) second-hand, and it does not even have a camera i got it because i need for someone to call me and that someone would have no means of contacting me if i stayed without a cellphone. so there. it's out of necessity that i got a phone, and it was dang hard for me to pull that money out of my pocket to pay for that phone. by the way, i don't even know what the cellphone model is. and yep, it's nokia.
