I don't eat that much rice now compare when I was still in the Philippines which is a big help because my belly is starting to get small. Rice which has lots of carbs was the reason why my belly gets bigger. Anyways, I only eat rice when my husband and I go to Panda Express which is a Chinese fast food. I like how they make their fried rice. It has green beans, scrambled egg, carrots, and soy sauce. I get full too fast eating fried rice so I decided to get a steamed rice..hehe.

Hello there CJay. Your discussion makes me hungry. I think i will cook fried rice later. It is one of my favorites and one that i like to cook. I like fried rice with chopped carrots, eggs (sometimes scrambled, sometimes hard boled), garlic and onion (sauted first before adding the rice), and chopped parsely. I also sometimes add green peas or tuna/chicken or shrimps or mushroom or bagoong (yes!), depending on my mood. I think i will make it with bagoong tonight. I like this discussion. I like talking about food.

Hi pinky, I haven't met a Filipino here, as much I would love to have a Filipino friend here. I saw some but never get the chance to talk to them, because their always with their employer and I don't want them to get in trouble. I guess I have to wait till I get back home, you are lucky that your Uncle can go home every six months. I miss bagoong so much.

Yes CJay, bagoong it is. They do not have it here but i get to have one or two bottles from my uncle who goes home every six months. You should try to ask friends there who can bring even just one bottle for you from home.

Hummmm yummy!! I like fried rice too with eggs. I really like that. I put garlic on the fried rice and put scrambled eggs with it. I love to eat this food. Just put a little salt in it for the taste and I am fine with it. I love rice. That is the food that I used to grow up with.

Who can say no to fried rice? Give me any kind and I will enjoy the blessing that is fried rice! Most times, I just like to add garlic bits to my white rice. If I'm not feeling lazy, I'd add onions, some meat and eggs. If I'm feeling especially in the mood to cook, I make Spanish rice. It's fried white rice doused with a lot of ketchup, chicken, bacon, bell peppers, onions and garlic. Fried rice... yum!

Hi Jay77, i like fried rice very much too. I like pineapple fried rice, it is a type of fried rice origin from Thailand. The taste is so good and delicious as you can taste the yellowish golden rice (little bit spicy), pineapple and some chicken meat. Also, another type is call Belancan fried rice, it is local fried rice where the taste is little bit special and sometimes some people dont like the taste. But for those love that, it will never let go.

I love fried rice! If I'm on a budget, I like it in butter and tons of garlic. If I feel like splurging a little, I like it with egg, peas, and a dash of salt and pepper. If I feel like splurging a lot, I want it with hotdogs, corn, butter, and egg. :)

Ingredients: 1. shrimp paste 2. salt 3. flavor (ajinomoto) 4. white rice 5. anchovy 6. long bean - chopped into cubes 7. eggs 8. chicken meat - chop into small pieces 9. onion 10. garlic 11. chili paddy Method: 1. Grind the shrimp paste, onion, garlic and chili paddy using a blender until it is finely grind. 2. Fry 1 scrambled egg and put aside. 3. Fry the anchovy and put aside, leave the oil in the frying pan. 4. Using the same oil, stir fry the grind ingredients until it is has turned fragrant. 5. Put in the chicken meat and stir fry. 6. Fried rice is my favorite. I also put chopped garlic and salted fish in it. Aside from that, chopped hot dog, small pieces of corns, green peas and carrots serves as the veggies in the fried rice. Not forgetting some fried luncheon meat too.
