Calorie consious

Since more than a year,I am trying to take a balanced diet and at the same time shed those extra calories. In the verge of doing so, sometimes I feel I'm not taking suffiecient and balanced diet. Any suggestions in this regard?

have you tried using calorie calculators? there are many of them available on the internet. online and offline version. i'm doing one as my final year project
the calculator might not be 100% accurate but at least it will let you know how much calorie you should consume per day. you might need some adjustment if you feel tired and sluggish after a few days

I feel the say way. My husband and I live alone and most of the times were out of the country for work. In the few times that we are home together in our days off, we just order take out or delivery. Even if I try to choose, the more healthy ones in the menu like chicken or fish, I still think I'm not getting the right nutrients that I need. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm taking multivitamins. I keep thinking that I better start cooking but I'm just really finding it hard to start.
