i am supposed to go back to my hometown right after my licensure exam... i'll wait there until the results would come out... luckily i was able to get a job during my review days and has chosen to stay in the city, i was able to earn in my own and learn how to budget my own earnings.. 2 months later results came and i was able to pass, Praise God... my job is not related to my course and after passing the licensure i am very eager to practice my profession. that was the start of my dilemna then, getting a related job would be very difficult in the city, by the way i am a nurse and my job is teaching english to koreans, i dont want to lose my job because this is where i get finances, but i want to practice my nursing profession. the choices would be, i would stop being a tutor and be trainee nurse without pay and without an assurance of being hired or stay with the teaching job and set aside the nursing experience... very hard... then i prayed... and had faith.... right now... im still a teacher and a volunteer nurse... earning at the same having an experience being a nurse... i still continue holding my faith... because i know sooner or later i would be choosing only one... i just need a comment about this....

Hi hushburn,
I think you did it right, I know that in due time you will reap the harvest. Many nursing profession like you doesnt have any job at all, i have a friend that just stay at home waiting for the right job available that pays for her degree. It is sad because i think she is waiting here time for she can do other thing that can be profitable. Wither we like it or not we have to make for a living. As for you ,in the meantime you have to support yourself by having that job and still you are very lucky that you can still perform your nursing proffesion as a volunteer. Just countinue what you are doing now, and have faith. For all thing are possible in Gods hands. Have a blessed day.
