What is Wrong with Hospitals these days?

I don't know what it is but it seems that doctors and nurses at this one particular hospital in my town are being trained at Kmart. I mean they have no clue about anything. They have no bed side manor, they are rude, and quick to get you gone whether they solved the problem or not. My Grandmother has been in and out of the hospital soooo many times this month, and the doctor the other day said " I have no idea whats going on, it is a mystery" oh that is really reassuring. I have been to the doctor in the ER where they told me a 23 (a couple years back) year old doesnt get heart problems, so you are fine, nothing is wrong with you. And that was to explain my chest pains, week joints, and colorless face... NICE!!! Needless to say that Doctor does not practice anymore, but come on People at least TRY to figure the problem out that is why we come to you. I'm not saying all doctors are like this just the ones we a lucky enough to see.. Do you feel the same way?

You did not mention which Hospital you refer to here.
Well my dad just recently had non cancerous tumors removed from his bladder.
We had the best ever experience with the hopsital staff. It was done at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale Minnesota which is a suburb of Minneapolis. First off the Dr performing the surgery was ahead of schedule so dad got in an hour earlier than normal. The nirses and Drs and other staff answered all the silly inane questions I asked and gave great answers. They were very polite and cordial. They treated us like patients not a cash paying customer like at WalMart etc. All in all the best experience I've ever had dealing with the medical profeesions.
Sorry yours were not as great. Now as far as the thinsg with your visit to the ER, I myself always hget a couple or more opinions when I am very ill just for protection and to know more about my illness etc.

Thanks for responding, I did not mention the Hospital name because I do not want to get sued for Slander even though I think they are horrible, all I will say is the hospital is in Florida. I am Glad you found a wonderful Hospital.. Some are good!

well, maybe you really just happen to have landed to awful doctors in hospitals with awful services. But we really can't generalize because not all doctors are awful. There are very awful, semi-awful, quite awful, awful only at times, .....jst kidding. There are good doctors. Even here in Philippines where medical services tend to range from very poor to fair, I know some doctors who give dedicated service to poor and rich alike.
