Somehow, I made it up to Clout 2 already. I am rather impressed, actually. But, hardly exciting in terms of actual numbers. I want to be up over 1000 page views this month. It's only about 700 more to go. I am adding more content, regularly. Some kinda scholarly, some fun. I am promoting the heck out of my content. I have it on my blog, I facebook and digg everytime I am published, the widget is on my profile here.
What do you do to promote your content? If you don't mind sharing, how are your page views?

Congratulations! It is exciting to see how many views you get because it means people are reading your work.
I don't do much to promote my work, other than here and on a couple other sites. I get about 50 to 100 views per week, I think. I could probably do much better if I spent more time promoting or if I wrote more often. My link is in my profile if you are interested in reading any of my work. I'm always open to feedback, so feel free to comment. I'll check yours out. We can all use a boost.
Good luck on continued success.

Bahahahahahaha. I just read the children and craft messes article.
I hope to get up to a regular amount of page views. It's convincing my friends and family to subscribe that is so hard. Perhaps threats would work?

I have no friends or family that are interested in things like internet articles. My mom would probably read them but she doesn't have the internet and lives several miles away. So, I'll just have to throw the dice.

How long have you been on AC? I just started a couple of days ago and have not had anything reviewed yet. Do you prefer AC to other sites?

I started mid-September. That is why I am so impressed I am already up to Clout 2.
Waiting for that first review takes forever. But, remember, once you get 3 pieces published, if you go for the non-upfront payment/non-exclusive option, they go right up. So, get those 3 in the pipeline as soon as you can.
I can't really compare AC to other sites since this is the only 1 like it I have tried. But, it has been around for awhile and has a reasonable payout. So, I like it.

I just went and checked out a few of your articles. Looking forward to seeing you post more. Added you to favs.
Question, do you put in for upfront payment or performance pay only?

You're the first person to favorite me. Thank you.
Depends on the article for upfront payment or not. My law school papers (you can guess which ones are those), I go for upfront payment because I sure as heck ain't gonna make a lot off page views. Time sensitive articles I go right for the page views. Those are ones like the NFL analysis and the Book Festival. Oh and I did the baking soda one for PPV only because I doubt it would bring much up front. So, it is really a matter of what the content is and what you expect it will bring.

My page views aren't bad but is averaging about 258 on estimate and have written up to 140 articles, 2 submitted at this moment. I'm just writing up whatever I can think of and I try to promote and going to try Squiddo to see how it works. I'm also going with blogs and see what happens. You just never know what will happen when it comes to that.

I see that you're at clout 4 now, have you done anything else to promote your content since this post? I'm also new to AC and I haven't done much to promote my articles. Today, my estimated page views are at 346. I got most of those from one slideshow I submitted to stumbleupon.

I added Fanpop and Netscape Propeller, but that is it. Getting subscribers helped. Also, just writing more stuff for people to read. Per article, I usually have less than 100 views. So, it is more just having a lot of articles up. I might try stumble upon though.
