With Columbus Day coming up, I know most people under the age of 18 are just glad that school isn't in session. But regardless of age, most people don't know the truth about Columbus. It's just a story about the Age of Exploration. Most school books paint a pretty picture about Columbus, the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria. I was a little bothered by an Old Navy commercial that said "Shop like it's 1492" or something like that. An entire group of indigenous people were wiped out as a result of Columbus' "discovery". I think the only shopping those indigenous people would be doing is shopping for a tombstone or a burial plot. What does 1492 mean to you? What do you think of Columbus' voyage to America?

History tells us many people get annihilated. No one tells their story. Some people annihilate others like the Viking raiders who failed to gain a foothold in the New World. Win some, lose some,I guess. What about the insects which get annihilated by pesticides? Cheers!!
