As some of you know a few months ago my laptop crashed on me and I was left without a computer for some time. Now that I've finally settled on a computer that I like I am missing my Yahoo browser. I have gone to their download site but still have found no way to download the browser onto my new computer. Have any of you experienced this problem? How did you deal with it? I know that I can phone tech support, but that usually takes forever and I don't want to go that route if I can avoid it.

I also never have heard of yahoo having its own browser. I know you can set yahoo as your home page, which I have done, and you can have a yahoo toolbar which I cannot have because it interferes with my job. But I don't think yahoo has any browser.

I knew about it, capriani, because it was there some years ago when I first installed Yahoo on my computer. I have had to re-download it a couple of times in the past due to change of computers, but had never had so much trouble finding it until now. I simply called tech support and they reinstalled it for me in a few minutes.

The only thing I have ever seen from yahoo that you actually install is yahoo messenger and now the yahoo toolbar which I cannot have with my job because it interferes. I have only heard of as actual browsers the internet explorer, netscape, firefox, mozilla, and of course those that come with isp's like aol and such. This yahoo browser is totally new to me. I have yahoo as my homepage and my email and am on yahoo messenger all the time. I would think I would have seen something about a browser by now. Also in several yahoo groups. I will have to go check it out and see what I can find out about it.

I'm not sure if it would work since I don't have an SBC yahoo account anymore and it was before they merged with AT&T. Here's the link. http://promo.sbcglobal.net/sbcyahoodsl/ It is a real good browser when I used it for my SBC dsl. However, since it's framework is that of internet explorer, it may present problems. I would suggest you use Mozilla Firefox.

Although I do use Firefox as my default browser, zeroflashx2, sometimes I want the simplicity of surfing using only my Yahoo browser. I'm glad that it has been restored. Also, it is faster than Firefox.
