We are invited to a wedding in one month and I have no idea of what to but for the couple. I don't want to buy the usual wedding gifts like toasters and coffee makers. Anyone out there with a unique idea that want to share???
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks for reading.

We always run out of ideas what to give for weddings if we usually attend one. Then mostly the couple would open many same gifts like having 2 toasters or lots of boxes of glasses and bowls.
A gift certificate would be nice too and maybe a gift certificate which is a treat to a day spa or resort or if you can afford tickets for vacation holidays.

Hi sandymay! Repeating gifts you know will already be given doesn't appeal to me. A day at a spa is a wonderful idea. Thank you for your ideas.
Have a great day!

Good morning bbsr13!
These people are not close friends. The groom works with my husband. I have been given so many great ideas now. It's going to be one of the ones suggested!!!!
Have an amazing day!

What about a gigantic elaborate set of microwave cookware or tupperware? Try to get something useful and unique. BUT a lot of people feel like you do - not wanting to get the usual stuff - but the couple ends up not getting any of that stuff! Be sure to wrap whatever with a wedding theme.

I am the same as you when it comes to wedding gift ideas. I leave it all to my wife who enjoys this kind of creative activity. Cheers!!

Hi Underdogtoo!
It would be easier if I knew the couple! It's a co-worker of my husbands so this is a tough one for me. I'm sure by the time the wedding date arrives I will be ready!
Have an amazing day!

Yes. Everyone will try to give them toasters and coffe makers etc. Sometimes they might get too many of those. So try to give something different. Why don't you buy Bed sheets, covelets and pillow cases? They'll need those where ever there going to live. If you want you can buy them or try to give a gift voucher from a place where they can buy those.

It depends on your budget I guess. I received a very nice jewelry set from my best friend, and have my name on it. Btw, you can buy a clock with the bride's and groom's names on it. It is nice and unique, which I bought for my husband's colleague's wedding.

I work part time at Macys during the holidays and they have a wedding registry Dept. Does the bride and groom have one at a dept store? If so, you can buy what they want :) If not, then I would go for an unusual pottery peice.
