I'm not voting for him because...

I know that most people vote for people for a good solid reason or don't vote for someone based on principles. But...I am not voting Liberal because Stephan Dion darts his tongue out of his mouth as he butchers the English Language. I won't vote Conservative because Harper has beady weasel eyes and a thin bottom lip. If I was an American I wouldn't vote for Mccain because of his gopher cheeks. I could go on and on about reason's I wouldn't vote for people. I am not really serious and my vote will be based on leadership qualities and brains. I wonder though if people do vote based on reason's like I mentioned above. How about you, what do you base your vote on?

Actually I think there are a lot of ppl that vote like this. They don't really take the time to research the parties and base alot of their choices on superficial things. ~~IN SEARCH OF PEACE WITHIN~~ **AGAINST THE STORMS, I WILL STAND STRONG**

I think they do too and it is kind of sad in a way.

..public sentiment... No, I'm kidding! I vote for who the media likes most and doesn't cast as villain.. Nope! That's not it either.. I'm a party voter, but my party is getting more and more like the other one, leaving the issues I'm most concerned about in the dust? so eventually I may go back to being a swing voter..

It seems to me all the parties are getting like that. Sometimes I like to throw a vote to the unknown underdog in local elections because they are all they same.

Hi whywiki, I sincerely hope that no one votes or doesn't vote for someone for the reasons you mention. As I said in a previous discussion I decided a long time ago which party best represented the things I believe in. This time I'm changing my vote because I'm voting to defeat someone, so I'm choosing what I believe to be the lesser of two evils. Blessings.

I would hope no one would vote for those reasons either but I bet some folks do. I usually in the end follow my heart.

I think we would all be surprised at the real reason why people vote for their candidates. It is very clear that the best people do not make it to the nomination because of some defects which the professional handlers do not like. Cheers!!

How true it is. I think it is sad that some really smart people don't make it because they have the face of an a$s

I used to vote as my family had. But then I started to consider which president would be most effective addressing the current crisis (whichever crisis was current). Now I just go "Eeny Meeny Meiny Mo" as it all ends up the same way.
