How do you feel about this. After the Government bailed out AIG to the tune of $85 billion dollars, they turned around less than a week later and rewarded their execs with this lavish retreat stay.

I can't believe they actually have the audacity to take an expensive vacation like that, while the taxpayers (us) are still struggling to pay our bills and even put food on our tables. Just yesterday I had to transfer some money from my savings account into my checking account just to be able to pay a few bills. Those men should get fired asap. It is obvious they get compensated for their mistakes then the government has to "bail" them out, but who bails "us" out, NOBODY! We have to pawn crap just to make ends meet. I don't know about you all, but I know this has to do with having a Republican running this country, which is why I will not vote for Mccain/Palin. Don't even get me started on the Palin lady......scary thought that a woman that is as dumb as a box of rocks, might run this country....

The average 'joe six pack' is out hear suffering. We are having trouble paying for our utilities and putting food on the table. I feel like they are laughing at us while they are getting their manicures, pedicures and massages. Thanks for your comments.

I don't like it at all. They should have to give the money back.

We will see how things unfold. They are infront of a House Committee right now. But I want to see more than just the Representatives talk harshley to them. I want to see action taken against them. Otherwise, in my mind, they just go home close the doors and laugh at the American public while they break out more champaign.

Not $85 Billion, $850 billion. And you are right, that is discusting. There should be a stimpulation put on all companies that turn to the government for bail outs. That is, all corporate assets, and the personal assets of all the boardmembers should be seized... including former board members going as far back as the problems that led to the need for bailing out. No board member should be able to pass the buck on to the taxpayers without first paying out of their own pocket.

I feel furious. The Government should do his utmost to make the executives pay back the money they spent on spas. The normal citizen should not pay for them.

I'm so glad these type issues are now being scrutinized. This is how the game has been played in Washington and Wall Street over the years. That is why we need a massive overhaul of this culture of greed and coruption. These people live are so out of touch with the average American citizen that I'm beginning to wonder if they even see how offensive their behavior is after being bailed out by the American taxpayer. Here's what I would do. First I would freeze all the assets of these criminals. Second I would fire each and every one of these crooks. Third I would dig deep and hard to find any law they may have broken and prosecute everyone involved. It's time to make an example out of these people who use the American taxpayer as their personal ATM machine. LLoyd

Thank you very much for the best response. I see a lot of outrage about this issue, but no one seems to want to do anything about it. AIG is now planning a similiar outing. It just seems as if these people are above the law. Lloyd

Yes. I agree. Those would be the first steps in changing the culture and behavior. When you start making these people pay with prison time, you will start changing that mindset.

Hi Cbreeze, TOTALLY WRONG, TOTALLY WRONG. Here in the UK our taxpayers money is bailing out our banks and yet they make heaps out of us already and charging £30 each time we go overdrawn by a penny, the rich are getting richer and all the treats and the poor are getting poorer and they will look back and wonder what caused anarchy when the everyday person says ENOUGH. Huggles. Ellie :D

It is obvious that this attitude isn't an anomily of US Business. It has been a global attitude for big business to rob the working man.

I agree with what Obama said in the debate Tuesday night - their executives should be fired and they should have to pay the government back the money they spent! They don't have any sense of honor at all, do they? What they did is just revolting and I hope they are made to pay the money back to the taxpayers!
