Are you always being very careful in what you are wishing for?

I have not thought about this point that we should be careful while wishing something.....It normally does not happen with me that whatever I wish it comes out true, percentage is very much less than my expectations.

Oh yes Bala, I am more careful now. Once bitten twice shy. Once I had wished to fall in love with some handsome guy and guess what, I did fall for a hunk but could ever really get up. All my self respect, esteem, love, integrity seemed to go futile and he overstepped those! Obviously, I am wiser now, I never wish something going overboard and never wish something that might not possible and that might make me sad. Wise mimpi!!

Yes. I am very careful as to what I wish for these days. I thank God for not granting some of my wishes also. He seems to know what is best for me. Some wishes are better left alone.

What you are saying is quite true.We all should be careful while wishing.Just suppose we wish to be as tall as atree and then really grow so long,or,usually as we say "wish I could become filthy rich!!" and suddenly you find mounds of filth around you.......well thats exactly what it means-- being rich with filth.

Yes, I trat my wish very seriously, I guess it is because the more you want, the more you care about....

Yes,bala,I am always very careful in what I am wishing for,not because of my apprehension about it coming true,but rather because it is difficult for me to overcome my disappointment when something that I wish for fervently ,does not happen.I believe it is better to put in some effort and work to make things happen,rather than wishing wholeheartedly for something and waiting for it to come true.That way one can be more result oriented.

"If wishes came true then beggars would ride". But then that is not reality. And yet we keep wishing hoping that one or some of them do come true. Always hope and wish for the best things in life for people around and myself. Never wish negatively or with any ill feeling. That is what i believe in and am very careful about. If the wishes do come true then, why not ? If they do not then this may seem apt “If things do not turn out as we wish, we should wish for them as they turn out.”

That is so very true my friend in fact I have stopped wishing because sometimes when you wish hard enough and it does come true you are in for a very very big disappointment! I spent years and years wishing desperately, faithfully and longingly for a relationship, I felt that I wasn't worthy if I didn't have a relationship so I desperately wished away my life, then one day I got it and I hated it! The wish came true and was I happy? NO! It made me miserable, so now I don't wish any more because I am scared if my wishes come true!

Hi, balasri. I do think it is easy to wish for something without realizing all that would be involved if you got your wish. I try to remember that, but often it slips by me.

Yes bala..never a truer words said..it doesn't happen straight away with me but at some time it does so I am always very careful at what I wish for...littleowl

[b]hi balasri! yeah sometimes i wish for things carefully and i see to it that whenever i try to wish on something, it will do me any good and not that will harm me or anyone else because one day there comes a time that it comes true and that when i wished for a negative thing then i might regret for wishing onto something that i'll be bringing for years. happy posting and happy mylotting![/b]

I don't wish very carefully, not really. sometimes I wish something but within some days I realize that this wish is not the best thing for me. About wishes we have a saying (in Tunisia): better than wishing something, keep waiting for something"
