I have been with this company for almost 3.5 years now. I can totally say I wouldn't be able to stay if the pay hasn't been good, but it is, which makes it hard for me to leave. I am now on my 6th month of pregnancy, and is having some difficulties in getting to work. FYi- I am on a grave yard shift with a daily trip of 3.0 hours, to and fro to my office.
My condition is not easy, especially if I travel that long.
Anyone who can refer me to a work from home program? My work background is sales and marketing, in a call center set-up.

babyno2, i totally understand you're condition of still working regardless of your pregnancy condition. here in our center, there are a lot of preganant mommies too. but your condition is way more difficult aside from the fact that you spend you time communiting. if only there is something i can recommend for you with regards to a work form home program. the only thing that concerns me though with your condition is, do you have plans of resigning to pursue work from home? because resigning is not a better deal to do right now. regardless if you have your partner working it will not be sufficient. the work from home program will be best just as a sideline for you. believe me it will not even be sufficient for your & your baby's needs. the only suggestion i could give is for you to be on the morning shift. this is also a benefit for your child's nutrition & condition. i believe that all cal centers give priviledge with that of your condition. preferring a morning shift can be discussed with yout TL/Sup then to the Manager or could be with the scheduler or workforce dept. you just need to seek help from your TL as he/she is your immediate supervisor who can address your needs. i guess you can at least still sacrifice with that commuting problem you have but of totally leaving your current job is not a good option. i just hope you we're able to give some more details for us to check other options for you.

Thanks mapi26.
I am totally NOT into resigning yet at this point as I still have the option to rent a place near my office. This will be a bit of a sacrifice as I also have a 5 year old kiddo that i will surely miss everyday. I'll only be able to spend the weekends since I am off on saturdays and Sundays, but that's good enough for me.
Anyway, thanks for your advise.
