Is Runescape even enjoyable anymore?

Updates such as the trade limit, removing PKing from the wilderness, and even the Grand Exchange have been major factors as to why I quit Runescape. Do you still enjoy Runescape with these updates? And if you quit Runescape, do you think you'll ever play again if the trade limit and PKing were restored?

I think that new updates are great.
I can do treasure trails in wildy without trying to run from some clan,
buy anything I need in Grand Exchange in a few minutes,
get rid off unneeded items very fast.
There are many things replacing PKing like Pvp worlds, bounty hunter and clan wars.
When you have many quest points you can trade enough
(I can loose 60k/15 minutes)
There aren't bots anymore and scammers only try to get your password.
(when you try to say your pass it won't show it)
Runescape is still good game.

I'm still playing, I think RuneScape became better without these things...I know some players don't like it, but it has to be like this...
BTW, at the moment PK-ing is back with PK-worlds:p And the economy is only going better with GE and trade limit is 60k now (for me) so it's not that bad.
I never thought about quitting, so I just keep playing...:p

PKing is back! Take a look at the updates.
I've yet to try them but it all seems very... different, but interesting.

Despite I rarelt PKd, I hated the ban. That's bcuz many friends were just playing to
PK, and when the update came out, they all quit one by one. Now, there isn't any1 to
talk to while skilling. I was in an awesome guild which fell apart cause every single
person in the guild quit, starting with the guildmaster.
Still, JAGEX made the Duel Arena open for F2P, made the Bounty Hunter and Clan wars,
opened the GE...
Bu those were just to recover from the PK ban.
Also, the trade limits were awful, cause i wanted to pass something to my other
account and I couldn't trade it, the limit... With the limit, you couldn't do anything...
Then there is the 3k limit to dropping items which I found out unpleasantly while I
tried to drop trade at my other acc... It was awful...
That pretty much wraps it up...

Like the others before me, those updates did nothing to diminish my enjoyment of Runescape. In fact, it has made me enjoy it more. I wasn't into pk'ing, so that's no loss to me. The trade limit just means I don't have to try to find a nice way of telling someone why I won't give them something expensive. The GE is wonderful. I always hated dealing with other people to buy and sell things. The GE takes care of that problem.
By the way, in case you didn't know, Jagex is releasing PvP only worlds sometime this month. They also recently increased the trade margins. Now nonmembers have up to 10k and members have up to somewhere around 45k.

I have to admit too that , these updates made me quit playing runescape because it`s not that fun anymore.Long time ogo , when I wanted to have fun , me and my friends were going to an Internet Cafe and Pk`ed almost all nigh. That was so much fun ..... nice days.Olso when a friend started playing runescape...we were helping him with items and cash , but now it`s not posible. If the trade limit and PK would be just like in the good times , I would start playing again.

Well I've started playing runescape about 3 years ago, I've played for like a week or two and stopped. Then in the next two years (since than and utill one year ago) I've played Runescape on and off like 1 week playing, 4 months not.
But just like you said, more and more updates came in and took away the whole experience of the game, and now? It's not even fun anymore if ur not a member since the diffrence is so big! and as a matter of fact I don't think being a member would be fun also (Of course I'm not a member so I can't really tell).

i liked those updates because they got rid of the auto bots which completely ruined runescape. it was almost impossible to get a yew tree that didn't have 10-20 bots surrounding it.
i never pk'ed and neither killed monsters in the wild so the wilderness update didnt affect me at all.
and as for the Grand Exchange, i think it the best update! no more time wasting in the banks in order to sell your item or search for good deal to buy the required item. now you just give your request and your get/sell your item in no time. and even if the the item is not available in the exchange or there are no buyers for the item that u are selling, the trade request remains pending and you most definitely get/sell your item after a few hours or next day.

i think adding all those sucks.
1. trade limit.. people can't generously give cash to help others..
2. pk removal.. pk is needed in EVERY game. it's the reason why you lvl your toon.. so you could beat the hell out of other people.. now there's no reason
thats all i could think of now.. yea it IS good that the updates will help stop botting but still.. there's no reason of playing it anymore.. grand exchange was pretty good.. just like in most games.. there was an auction area or something. there's the three BASIC things you need to have in a successful mmorpg
1. Auction
2. PVP
3. A point of playing.. exciting stuff so you could lvl.
cause why would you lvl when there's no exciting stuff that we could get?

when pk-ing still existed i didn't really understand the game so i quit for quite some time and now i play but not much of a loss plus idc bout the trade thing i just sell my stuff at GE plus they makin pvp worlds probibally next week or in 2 weeks so doesn't matter and trade margin increased a bit so no more worrying about not being able to help others.

i kinda like the grand exchange since it makes it alot easier instead of standig saying ur selling something the pk i hardly pked but i know ppl who pked all the time it was a big loss but now there is pvp worlds let me tell you this IT IS A MESS way to many ppl in lumby its so confusing i think jagex could of done a better job doing that trade limit i like the price check although not the trade limit i HATE IT just my opinion

they're all pretty big issues, but PKing has come back, now there's designated PK worlds where you can fight players anywhere, The trade limit has been increased, and I think the grand exchange is good so... i still like it :)

I was rather happy with those updates. No more idiotic pkers to have to kill while I'm hunting red dragons, No more bots cutting the trees I'm after, No standing in banks trying to sell the extra supplies I have. There's so much more to the game than just killing other players.

I have to admit, none of those things affected my level of playing with Runescape. I very rarely ever attempted PKing, so that was no loss for me. I don't trade all that much, so again no big loss. I do oddly enjoy the Grand Exchange though since it makes selling things easier, but I can understand why some people dislike it. I haven't played in about a month or so, but it's not due to those updates. I've played off and on for some time now.
