So sad - a little kitty got electrocuted

I heard this meowing out by the dumpster where I work and there was a kitty caught up in a power pole. It was late at night so not much I could do about it. Even though it was late I called one of my sons friends and told him about it and he said that he had already tried to get it down but couldn't. Well the next day we had a brief power surge and you can guess why... the kitty got electrocuted. I feel so sad. The poor little thing. I was worried that it was going to starve to death up there but instead it got zapped. I guess those things happen but I still feel bad.
