Which one do you all prefer? laptop or desktop? Why?

I would prefer a desktop since I do not require portability meaning I don't have to bring my work home or elsewhere. Pricewise, you can get a desktop with higher specs for the same price compared to laptop

i used desktop.for me desktop is much more realible compare to laptop becouse i can upgrade it easily.the parts could be found and install easily not as the laptop which need to spent more time and effort to upgrade it.the part of desktop are also much more cheaper compare to the laptop.

Welcome to mylot, I would prefer desktop if it were for durability factor to consider. If there were laptops with the same durability and if I had such money to purchase on then I would go for a laptop. I prefer laptop since it is portable to be carried everywhere, because computer is one of my basic ameneties, i feel handicapped without my laptop. However desktop has some upper hands in terms of convenience with respect to work speed and schedule. So basically what i mean is laptop being portable becomes an addiction and you tend to spend more time on computer, whereas desktop being non-portable and that you can't carry that along with you, it actually spares some time for you to spend with your family and near and dear ones....

I suggest that if u r doing some rough work Its better to work on desktop It is easy for u to do any type of work. If u r doing short time work like msn,browsing etc It is good for u to work on laptop because it is portable and take him and go everywhere. I suggest If u want to play some games so plz use desktop because it easy to use.

I regularily use both for different purposes. But if I had to choose which I most prefer, I would say the desktop. And that's because it is more expandable, easier to repair, and easier to upgrade.

I was a big Fan of desk Top initially! possibly Ihave 17" Monitor which gives a big screen of display and I find the Ket board more sturdy and I can attain a good speed with that Key Board.I used to feel comfortable with separate mose mouse to handle while working! It was very difficult initially for me to work with my Lap Top as I used to felt this Computer very de licate, Key board vry small and hypersensitive and lastly I used to get messed up while usingthe mouse pad. Now having used this computer for few months, I find it very friendly and I am very comfortable with it. Its portable nature makes Lap Top a better Choice for many than Desk Top. Thanks! I prefer desktop as I hate carrying a computer on my lap. Also I use PC only at office and home, so have no use for a laptop.
