MOB... Mind Over Body?

Hi... i'm realy new to this but i'm enjoying it so far... the idea of having open discussions, reading and getting paid for it on my dead hours is great... but back to my point... i bring to the table the following... do you think that the mind has amazing power over the body? for example if someone is sick and they put there efforts in mind to stay alive... do you think they have a better chance of surviving besides a person that is sitting waiting around for death to come because of the situation?
