hi there CJay, I am as lucky as you are, i have never broekn a bone. Even though i play a lot of sports and i am always being active, i have never broken any bone but i have had a few stiches. I couldnt tell you how it feels to break an arm, i know it hurts, and its a pinshing feeling if its your arm or leg bone thats broken its not as bad. My sister was only 6 years old and she broke her arm after falling down the stairs, and she didnt even cry. She was obviously in pain but she took it very well. I think its not just a physical pain, it is a mental pain too, because she was mentaly strong, she didnt cry but some people might cry because thats their way of reacting to the situation. Happy MyLotting!

Hi ByblosFlare, That's great that even though you play a lot of sports you still manage not to have a broken bones. I never had stitches as well or never been hospitalized and knock, knock on the wood for that. Wow 6 years old and never cried, what a brave little girl, oh I admire her so much, please say hello to your sister for me. I can imagine the pain and I don't think I will be strong enough not to cry. Thank you so much for sharing the experience of your sister and I hope that she is doing great after that. Happy mylotting to you also.

I did! It was just a greenstick meaning the bones are not totally separated just half of it. I was 12 years old then. We played "patintero" after the Sunday school. Something creepy happened to me. For some reason, which I am not aware of, I was trying to run but my feet won't allow me. It feels like some greater force is holding my feet and preventing me to move. I tried to give all my might just to get myself free, and when it finally let go, I fell on my left side smashing my left arm. I broke my forearm. I've never felt such excruciating pain ever in my life. That even when I'm at rest it still does hurt.

My daughter broke her elbow last year falling off the monkey bars at school. Believe me it hurts. My daughter had tears streaming down her face. And the nurse thought she was bluffing. I still don't understand why my daughter likes that nurse so much. She didn't even splint it, as we were leaving to do to urgent care, she put it in a sling. They were not happy at urgent care or the at the hospital when they found out. Because of her age and where the break was, she had to have surgery to put it back together. It was horrible. She couldn't get in for surgery that day and we had to spend the night in the hospital so they could operate the next day. She was in the cast for a month, good thing she is a quick healer. The only thing is when they took off the cast, they had to remove the two pins they put in to stabilize the bone. She screamed and cried when they pulled them out. It was awful.

Hi SukiSmiles, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter broke her elbow. I'm 31 now and I will probably cry also if I'm in the situation. I'm glad to hear that she is a quick healer, which probably help her a lot. Removing the two pins sounds so painful. I hope that she's doing great now. How old is your daughter when this happen? Thank you so for sharing.

She was 8 and she's doing great. She's also back on those monkey bars. In the middle of the night at the hospital, in a little whisper, she confessed she was trying to skip 5 bars. Her fingers touched the bar, but didn't quite get it. My little adventurer.

hi CJay oh yes its hurts and hurts some more . Three years ago I had a bad fall, landed on my left shoulder and smashed the hell out of it. Paramedics had to load me in an ambulance and take me to the hospital.then I went through holy hell while the s ray tech moved my arm back and forth, and yelled at me to move my left arm. hell I could not move it as all connection between elbow and shoulder were broken. Hehad to do it and he hurt me so badly I was driven to scream with the pain. then after I got to my room my orthopedic surgeon came in and had a fit, the nurse was supposed to have given me a pain shot before the x ray not after it. the pain was from the ends of the smashed bones rubbing on each other so the orthopedic doctor told me. ihad to have surgery and they put in bionic parts.

Hi Hatley, That's ridiculous that nurse didn't give you the pain killer before the x-ray. You must so angry with the nurse that time! Having a surgery sounds so scary to me and put in bionic parts. Does it get hurt occasionally after 3 years? Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
