Best Responses!

For the last week or so I have been catching up on giving out best responses for my discussions. For those who don't know how to do this, go to the tab that says "Unresolved" and then you can go into each discussion and choose a "best response." I had 4 full pages worth of unresolved discussions, but now I have only 1 page to go through now. I like receiving best response, how about you? How often do you award the best responses for your older discussions? Do you like to wait for them to add up then give out all best responses in a day or two, or do you like to do it on a more regular basis?

Don't think this is a matter of preference on my part, just the way I do it. I let them pile up. I am really bad about keeping up with that. I just put it off and get behind. I am afraid to check, but I'm willing to bet that I have at least 4 pages of unresolved discussions. Maybe next time I get bored here looking for good discussions, I will work on that. It's always nice to receive a best response, especially in a discussion with a lot of responses. Makes you feel appreciated.

Hi Bethany, I am giving BR after a month or two of posting, I am hoping each day to have more responses and so far, I have only few post which I need to resolve next week... There are also times when I will award right away like 2 or 3 weeks after I posted that if a lot of responses already were there!

I always struggle with the "Unresolved" discussions. Which timeframe should i handle, do i have to wait a week, a month or more before i give out a best response. I don't think it's fair to give out a response very quickly. I have two pages of unresolved discussions at the moment.

I normally let my older discussions slip my mind, and when someone replies to them weeks later, I go to it and go "Oh yeah!" and pick the best response. I think it really is a good idea to keep up with them though, after it seems as though nobody else will respond.

I also love to receive "best responses" awards. It makes me feel good when someone appreciates something I've said. I have not given any out yet, I think I have to wait till I have 500 post to give them.

I do get forgetful about awarding best responses to be honest, as I like to leave about 2-3 weeks before I award best response to give people a chance to respond, so sometimes I need a massive purge of old discussions which need to be awarded best response. Unless there are only a few responses or someone responds with a really good informative, interesting response then I will award sooner, but they do mount up don't they!
