darkness is dangerous i admit...
but once you close your eyes everything turns dark...
so i dont really feel scared now of darkness..
but when i was a child i used to be frightend of dark alone nights,
i will suggest you of something that will make you feel better...
have an idol in your mind for me it was a hindu god .. you can have anyone buddha, jesus or even super man..make him immortal and imagine him killing all the devils of your mind you will certainlly have a nice sleep..anyway good bye

Hi lunelden88,
In fact, I can't sleep easily with lights on.
I always switch off all lights when I am sleeping. Sometimes, I literally put on an eye protector (not sure if that's the term) so that I can't see any light at all even if it is just under the bright mid day sun.
No light = good sleep in my opinion.

When I'm in a hotel room I usually keep the lights on. It's just a habit I picked up because I like to read sometimes and don't have the energy to turn off the lights. Cheers!!

I can usually sleep without any light. But since my daughter is born, we switched on the night light, so that we can see what's happening if she wakes up in the middle of the night. It's also easier for us to find her pacifier when she needs one at night. I wonder if we can do without it. I think it's a waste of electricity and I'm trying to cut down on utilities. It's going up and up every few months. Sigh!

i feel i am contrast difference with you ,i can not sleep if light is on ,i can sleep well only all the light can not be seen , but to be honest ,it is difficult for me to do this ,because i am a student now and i living in school ,i live in a apartment in our school ,and there are other three student living in a same room with me ,many of them do not like to sleep early ,they often play computer games or reading with light on ,so i feel depressed about this all the time.

i can sleep with or without light, but without light is better because my body gets enough rest. i remember my biology class, when you sleep with a light it will affect your body clock. according to the study "night time exposure to light can impair a sleep"..for scientific reasons and for our body's convenient, let's turn off the lights..

We are the opposite! I can't sleep with the light on. I guess some people used to sleep with lights on and some others could not. I know my sister couldn't sleep if the light is off.
