Your favorite subject to draw

As for portraits, I have made a few but those are copies of what is existing. I tried drawing based on imagination but it always become totally differnt from the way I think it. The only medium I use is pencil. I want to learn using charcoal coz it appeals to me especially when highlightened by chalk. I once tried pastel crayons but I dont know how to use it. It was so messy that I was discouraged to pursue. After efforts to attemp something new, I sticked to the pencil coz its easy to work with.

Your respond reminds me that when Im in the fifth grade, I had a book about biology and I used to draw, trying to recreate each pictures in the book. Aside from drawing it, I make clay models of bones etc that are found on the book.
