yahoo mail warning

i recieved an email from yahoo stating that i should reply with my username and pw, date of birth to them to prevent my account from being delete as they are in the process of cleaning their database. i am wondering if this is true and would like to check if you have also recieved the email

100 % must be a scam...Someone try to retrieve your information by sending those email to you. Delete the mail and don't reply to the mail.
