I have been watching animes since I was young and to think of my favorite is a real challenge. When I was little, I used to watch Princess Sarah and I think if naming one every period of my like this is the best in my childhood. When Im teen, maybe my favorite is Sailor Moon. Now that Im 22, choosing one is a headache. So many nice anime present so hard to choose. I like Inuyasha but there are other anime that I also love.

I think there's a huge confusion between anime and a regular cartoon. Animes are mostly from Japan. The history of Anime started during the 20th century when the Japanese animators experimented animation techniques.
My favorite anime is Naruto. He has a distinctive character that nobody would think that he has the lead role. He inspires simple people to do their best and be the best person that they could be.

Thanks for the enlightenment. It seems that anime fan needs more effort to work out the anime vs cartoon confusion. Anyway, I think that we should be forgiving. Cartoons is also an animation and only japanese is known for the term "anime".

When I was a kid, my favorite anime was Cedie. I see to it that I watch it before I go to school. But lately, my favorites would be Dragon Ball and Rurouni Kenshin. I really like the story of both, the former which is quite far from reality, is still indulging and the concept is really good. Samurai X (another title for Rurouni Kenshin) has some great concepts and ideals that is very interesting. One common denominator for both would be the battle scenes. They're just too good.

Well said my friend. Samurai X is indeed violent at some points but it really goes deeper. It involves the government, the people/society and which revolves in one man in the form of Kenshin and his history. Even the side stories are good in their own rights. Take care.

I also like Samurai X only its a little violent and thats the not so good side of it. However, what I like about that is the exchanges of ideology and that really make others to consider the others' side of the story. The many issues surrounding the series makes it very interesting to me. The story of Anji the monk really moved me. The idea that meiji government created a monster that was Shishio needs to be discussed further. Reflecting deeper in to the topic.

when i was a kid, i got addicted to "julio at julia" because it was a very unique chinese story about two twins from differnt families. they are not biological but spiritual twins, and they could create magic by just holding their hands in different ways, and i was so amazed. when i was 16, i got hooked with ghost fighter, and i love dennis, the wolf. i like inuyasha too because he is confident enought to surpass all the challenges he is encountering. at present, though its season has ended, i still love ang, the last air bender. i love chinese movies and chinese animes because they are so original and so fantastic.

Im also familiar with Julio at Julia but I choose Princess Sarah because she was very nice, talented, smart and beautiful. As for Ghost Fighter, I also like Dennis. Avatar the last airbender is really addicting but I didn't include it coz its not japanese. I love it though.

Oh that glooming anime.........it becomes brighter when the funny begins. with a little horrors on the side plus the teenage crazy stuff makes this show really obsessing in someways. Thanks for the response.

We have one in common. That is Detective Conan. By the way, Im curious with the show Naruto coz so many of my friends talk about that almost revering it. That caught my attention. I plan to watch that and tell you what I think of it as I progress in the show. Anything you might recommend me? As for the Full Metal Alchemist, have seen several of its series and I think its ok. My problem is that too many new anime and too many to catch up with makes my schedule to stretch twice.

For me, I'd rate Hikaru no Go #1 anime series. It's a very motivating series about a talented kid's path on becoming a professional Go (a kind of Japanese board game)player. I've been touched deeply by the story and still enjoy to talk about the series even till today.
Bt the way, I heard my friends commented that Sailor Moon was a failure (they are not saying that the anime was not good but it failed to bring out the best part of the manga). Just curious, have you ever read the manga? If you like the anime, perhaps you can look for the manga. ^^

I never heard something bad about Sailor Moon but I guess, I will try checking for that. Anyway, that was only a favorite when was a child. What a cute way to kill the not so cute enemy. Hehehe.
