i was raised cathic, i know lots of people from different faith. i often hear people tell me i need to change faith because they don't belive in what cathic does, but i often hear people who are cathic put down other faith. and i know people who will preach the word of God to me but will treat other so different then bible tell us too. they will judge others because of thier life style or faith. and tell me i am going to go to hell when they sin more then me. why do people who are (supposely) to be holy, safes, reborned again do this ? aren't we tought from the bible "thy shall not judge other" unless we judge ourself first" but as soon you question them about their faith they get all upset and tell us not to judge them, well they are judging us.. so why do people do this? to me they aren't nothing but fakes. and one reason why i won't atten church

Yankee, don't judge an entire church by some of the members. I'm Catholic, too, but I've been going to a Methodist church down here because my husband's daughter invited me to attend when they lived here and I liked it a lot. There are always going to be hypocrites and the sad thing is that religious hypocrites usually don't realize that they are. I tend to stop listening when I realize someone who is supposedly religious starts showing his/her true colors. Live your beliefs and, if you enjoy a particular church, go. God doesn't care what building you are in.

I've had to deal with folks like that, too. Try not to let them get to you. BTW, Yankee, I hope everyone back up your way is doing fine. I was just up there a few weeks ago but only for a few days. Got to see Melissa. Waldorf has really grown!

They do it because they are human beings. As long as we aren't a overcomer than we are bound to make mistakes the idea of religion is to purge ourselves of the bad inside of us and the desires that drive us to do evil/bad things. As far as attending church its not about what others are doing its about what we do as individuals.

You are right there are alot of people out there that do that and that is why I didnt go to church but I found a church that accepts me and does not judge me, The only thing they require is that I believe in GOD. The people that are judgemental give all churches a bad name and really all churches are not like that although I have to admit it was difficult to find the right church for me. I find that it helps to pray. Good luck and God bless you.

I have to deal with situations like this all of the time, especially with my father-n-law,oh my, he is the worst, he's some type of faith differ from me and he wants me to convert to his faith. His son of course was also raised up on the same faith as his father but since we've been married,he has been to the church I'm attending and his father points out everything I'm doing concerning my faith, and he says it's wrong to believe what I believe and that I need to do what he's doing in order to be right. I get tired of hearing that, it sucks and I'm through listening, because it won't change anything about how I feel. He just needs to back off and give it up, and STOP judging.
