Why this but not that

I was watching a show on basic cable the other day that had some foul language in it. They allowed others (including 8,9,and 10 year olds) to say bi***, and a$$. When the father said balls it got beeped out. How is it ok to say some but not others. They were not referring to a female dog or to a donkey but they could use them. I have heard more and more of this everywhere on tv. Are we developing far enough that when my kids get in trouble in grade school that they can just tell the teacher she needs to pull her head out of her a$$ or call her a bi***? They took smoking ads off tv because its bad for you. Is swearing good for your development?

I think it's completely wrong to cuss on tv. it seems like it's on every channel these days. you can't even use parental controls to get away from it. I don't want my kids learning this trash.
