Hello friends,
I like reading bible, and i believe that this reading scriptures helps me in my spiritual growth. because of this i was able to appreciate the creation of God and all the wonderful thing around us.
When ever i feel sad and lonely i seek comfort through reading the holy bible. And one of my favorite bible passage is John 13:43-35, say "Love one another as i have Love you." It always reminds me that God really love us unconditionally and He wanted us to love also even to those who are unlovable.
How about you, Do you read bible? Do you have favorite bible passage? if yes, Why do you like it? Share your thought.

One of the texts I would say its not my favorite but its the text that I can never forget anywhere I am. Its Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.(KJV)This is the very first text in the Bible that I had ever memorized when I was a kid. And this is the passage that made me fearless to travel anywhere I want or I anywhere I can go all by myself. Because I believe that the Lord is with me. This text can be discussed with different explanations, but it would end up to the same point. And if you really would think the meaning of it, its great. Specially if you continue on reading for the whole chapter.

hi lovelyvelle,
I like that message too, but i havent read the whole chapter of it. I tired reading the whole bible before but i stop in numbers in the old testament and forget to continue. I have not yet read the other chapter for i am busy. I just read only paragraph in the bible when ever i need some references during prayer time. You give me an idea of reading it again. Thank you for responding. Happy mylotting.

You are very much welcome! Even if we read just one text from the bible whenever we have time for it, and really understand it.The best thing is to apply or practice what we read, as we go through our daily life's challenges. But I would suggest don't open and read the bible without a prayer, so that you will enjoy while reading it.

I read many things that deal with God and mysticism. There are many scriptures and passages that enlighten me. One of my favorites is about Imadeddin Nasimi, a Muslim mystic who was tortured, his skin peeled from his body, and eventually killed. He was mocked by his torturers who were Islamic Fundamentalists about turning pale as his blood slowly drained away. He said, "I am the Sun of Love on Eternity's horizon. Even the Sun pales at sundown."

Hi underdogtoo,

hi moon317318,
I am glad that some muslim like you read the bible, I know that bible is not for christian only it is for everybody who believe in God. What ever religion we belong we have still the same God but differ in names, and we should respect each others belief for we have diferent views about it. As you said, you like 10 commandment, i guess it is a must for everyone to put it in there heart to avoid wrong doings here on earth. Happy mylotting.
