I personally think a manager's value is given by the honors he has. Wenger has won 4 Champion titles (1 with Monaco and 3 with Arsenal), 7 Cups (4 with Arsenal, 2 with Monaco and 1 with Nagoya), 5 Super Cups (4 Charity Shields and 1 J-League) and 5 Manager of the year (3 Arsenal, 1 Nagoya, 1 Monaco). I think I should also mention his Runner-ups in the UEFA Cup, Cup Winner's Cup and champions League (1 of each). By comparison, Sir Alex Ferguson has won 13 Champion titles, 12 Cups, 8 Super Cups, 6 European Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup and 8 Manager of the Year awards. I'm not saying that Sir Alex Ferguson is THE BEST manager of all time (after all, he never managed a national team and win trophies, or stuff like that), but I think the results I just enumerated make him better than Arsen Wenger.

For me, for the brand of football I like to watch, the answer is a resounding yes. Given the fluidity with which Arsenal plays, they are fun to watch. The only downside is that the team is not winning any trophies. Arguably they are against bottomless cash reserves of Chelsea and Man U owners, but still Arsenal have choked to throw away trophies, rather than being blown away by opposition, so that hurts are bit. On the success parameter, I think no manager is better than Sir Alex!! Cheers! Ram

Of course not!!! The best manager I strongly believe is Timour Ketchpaya of Anorthosis Famagusta. A team with only 2 milion euros budget and with 4 points in the first 2 games in champions league. He can find very good players in all over the world. With a budget like Arsenal's or Manchester I think anyone could do this but with a budget like Anorthosis' I believe that Wenger would be a manager like everyone else and would never be able to get into the champions leage groups!!

greeding zola10,wenger is not to a all time best manager as there owes other good manager as well such as sir alex,rafa,marinho,etc..but one thing special on wenger was his talent on training up new youngster..youth for arsenal (frabegas,walcoot)was brilliant

Not even close ... he needs to win some more championships and one trophy that he was close to have in 2006 the champions league.

I would rather say he's also one of the best, besides A.Fergie, Mourinho , Benitez & Scholari are also world class managers.
