Christmas baking

Every year I do christmas baking and I love doing it. When I start baking I just know its almost christmas time, my favorite time of year. I always want to start early, I already felt like starting this year but its WAY to early yet. I only allow myself to start when December comes around and then I freeze stuff. So do you christmas bake? If so do you love doing it? When do you start?

Yes I love to bake around the holidays everyyear I goonline and find something new to do last year it was pecan pie I havent searched this year if you have any ideas I would love to hear them.
I usually start a few days befor thanksgiving that away I have a few days to test and a bit longer to test befor christmas.
This year Iam thinking of making that christmas gifts with the economy noone can afford alot so Iam thinking of getting some tins and making cookies as gifts

one year I made cookie bowls. The actual bowl was made out of cookies, then I filled the bowl with different kinds of cookies, then wrapped it in cellophane. It was a really neat gift. I had a recipe card for the cookie bowl but I'm sure if you did a search for cookie bowl recipe you'd find one.

I like to bake but don't do a whole lot because I never seem to have time around the holidays to do everything I want to. Besides that, I'd have to sample everything... something I don't need to do.
My mom used to make up goody boxes of baked goods and homemade candy and they were so good.
