Hi ronaldinu,
It depends on the ex-change rate, ask how much is worth, if not just keep it till you come over here on your holiday. What part of the U.K will be going to London?

Well, it would all depend on how long it will be before you go on another trip to the UK. If it won't be a few years then maybe it would be okay to turn it into sterling notes or just box them away for your next trip there and hope you don't forget them. Are they the same amount in each currency?

My personal opinion would be to keep them, especially if you are thinking of returning to the UK. The rate of exchange is not good at the moment so you wouldn't be getting value for money by changing them now. I go back and forth to the UK and Northern Ireland quite a lot and I would never change my sterling back to euros. It costs so much to get it in the first place and it would cost again to change it back.

I don't think this question can be answered with confidence at this time. Any change of currency is a gamble. I can't understand how the U.S.$ in increasing against most currencies durring these bad times. I'm going to Australia for three months and I'm looking at when is the best time to changs my money. In only one month the Australian dollar has depreciated by almost 20% against the Baht. Now who would imagine that with the political unrest going on here.

If it was me I would wait until my next holiday in the UK. I always used to keep my foreign currency as I think you have to pay a commission for changing it and may not always get the best return. It is worth far more in the stores of the country it is from. But if you are never to go back to the country, you might as well change it, but wait until it is worth it's highest value.

It's hard to say, but their banks are having trouble now too so if I where you I'd be trading those things in.
