Years ago second hand clothes used to be so much cheaper than new clothes, now clothes shops are able to sell new clothes for less than second hand clothes.
Do you still buy second hand clothes? I do as you can still pick up some good bargins, also my children needed to dress up for a school trip and I got all second hand clothes, dressed two children for a fiver.

I have bought a couple of "gently" used jackets and a coat from eBay. I would never buy any used items that would be worn against the skin.

I love second hand clothes. Charity shops and Ebay are great for that sort of thing. We have just booked a week away at Christmas and we are going to need warm clothes - possibly even snow kit. I have been looking on ebay for snow boots, etc for all of us and it will be a lot cheaper to kit us all out that way than to go and buy stuff new.
I also get a lot of books from charity shops.

Hello Anne18
It is weird isn't how you can actually buy clothes cheaper in lets say, Primark, than you can in the Sue Ryder shop!! In my local charity shop here they seem to sell all shirts and blouses for no less than £3.25, that seems a little bit pricey for something that has been worn countless times before!! I usually look for curtains at the moment and sometimes cookery books. I do, do a tour of the charity shops for clothes when the kids have to do fancy dress or something special for school though!

I used to love to go to the neighborhood GoodWill and shop for items, where I work we have to clean sometime and we got real dirty so I would go the the Goodwill and find me some used clothes to wear on those days we had to clean, Goodwill got a little to expensive some of the bargain department store clothes on the clearance rack was a lot more cheaper.

in malaysia we call this type of clothes is 'bundle clothes'.. people in rural area like to buy this second hand clothes, it cheap and sometimes still have a good quality and good brand. Thats why people love to have it. Me myself just buy t-shirt from this 'bundle clothes'.. t-shirt with the band image... have high demand in the country..

i and my family are using second clothes because it is cheaper and some of them are branded we call this ukay ukay, mostly now a days because of the high prizes in foods people are now practical, people choose to buy second hand so that the small money they have will be enough for their budget.

yes ma'am. I pretty much do all my shopping at Gabriel Brothers which is discount kind of store but usually there is a flaw with the clothing. I also shop at Goodwill which is store where people donate their old clothes. I find a lot of Old Navy in there which is my favorite but too expensive to go to the store and buy it. Also ebay sometimes has some good deals if you really hunt for them.

hi anne!
i agree. there are now new clothes that are cheaper than second hand clothes. but i still buy second hand clothes. there are still those cheaper than new clothes. its just a matter of having patience for searching for it. but i seldom buy second hand clothes now because i don't have the time to look for a good store. and i prefer to go to malls because its cooler there than thrift stores which often do not have airconditioner.

it depends where you shop i think. we go to a variety of different thrift shops but the cheaper ones dont have as much of a variety as the more expensive ones. but i still favour the cheaper ones and just look for often. i am looking for specfic things, so it doesnt take me long.

I have never shopped for second hand clothes. I like my clothes to be new since I am they will hold up longer than something that has been worn before. Also not knowing who or what has own the clothes before scares me to wear them.

I dont buy second hand clothes but I do have some second hands. Those were hand me downs by my aunt who is so fond of me. I do not mind at all wearinf second hand clothes for as long as I know where it came from-- like from my aunt's. It is how you carry the clothes, people wouldn't notice you're wearing second hands if you can flaunt it well.

i go for second hand clothes.it's cheap, have quality, and some of them are beautiful.you just need to be patient to find them.and you must know the best shop in your town to get them.most of my clothes that i bought at second hand shop are beutiful, even my friends thought i bought them at expensive stores, even i didnt know that clothes got brand.hehe.but just an advice.each time you bought any clothes at second hand shop, just make another wash that clothes.just to be more hygienic.and try to bargain for best price.

We have no second hand clothes for sale here, but we actually give away used clothes to the poor. I would hesitate on second hand clothes though these days, with so many skin infections and diseases around.

Years ago there was this guy who started a business in Port of Spain, Trinidad importing factory rejects and other second hand clothes and selling them down here.
It didn't last too long, for some reason, but he made some money.
Also the people in charity here in Trinidad complain that they have all the clothes they need and more.
So, I guess clothes are in abundance.

I do buy second hand clothes sometimes if they are still looking good and if they fit my taste. I like the second hand pants and skirts because they are of good qualities and still very good. But with blouses and dresses I prefer brand new ones always. Anyway, the malls are always on Sale during paydays so I can buy new ones at good bargain prices.

I do buy second hand clothes for me, I still know some that sell cheap second hand clothes, you only have patience in looking for nice and yet cheap second hand clothes, with commodity prices sky rocketing I don't want to bother myself with expensive brand new clothes, I save a lot when I buy second hand clothes, but I am very careful on washing them, I first put some boiling water on it and wash it thoroughly before I use it. i even iron them sometimes.
