My mom is in her forties, and she hasn't hit menopause yet. It's going to happen to all women at some point. I think that some women hit menopause earlier than others. I don't dwell on it too much, because that is so far away from me. I'll worry about it when I get older.

Menopause does NOT hit all women at 40. I never hit it until 52, and some women don't have it happen till later than that. It happens to every woman, there is no avoiding it, it's a part of the nature of being a woman. You can't change your internal clock. It's definitely not something to worry about, in this day and age we have it easier than our own mothers, or grandmothers, did in their time. Not everybody has hot flashes, and all that other stuff that you hear people talking about.
