i just became a vegetarian two weeks ago. i was not a huge meat eater but i did enjoy chicken and fish and occasionally red meat. i ate mostly ground turkey burgers and such. i have done alot of reading about the connections between meat/protein consumption and the effects on our health and i just decided to eliminate it altogether. it had been tough in some ways but luckily for me i really enjoy fruits and vegetables. the trouble is that the protein held my hunger longer and kept me satisfied. i eat brown rice, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes and whole wheat pasta for fillers. i am not vegan and do not think i could ever become vegan as it would eliminate even more foods. i do not drink cows milk but i use rice milk and i eat organic yogurt and goat's milk grated parmesan and occasionally mozzarella cheese.

I'm not exactly a vegetarian, but I don't eat red meat or seafood or pork. I just don't like the taste of it or the texture or something. I don't really know why. Maybe its just the thought of eating a cow! or some other animal. However, I do eat chicken and turkey. Yes, I know that these are still animals but if I don't eat this, then it would make things very difficult for me and my boyfriend. He has accepted to just eat chicken dishes with me when I cook, but I don't know if he could do without meat. I would have to cook like two dinners every night!
