The best place for summer and winter holidays?

Many of us are going on holidays during the summer maybe a bit less people going on winter holidays? Not all holidays are perfect but some of our holidays we remember for long time.
What places are the best to visit in your opinion and why?

If I want to spend my holiday , I will choose a nice and clean place , moutain or rivers , it depends on the area where I have the attention to go ..
In summer I usually go to mediterranean place ,because it helps me to resist to the hot atmospher and gives me also the opportonety to do some nice stuffs..
In winter I usually do not travel because of work ,beside travling in winter is less funny then travling in other saisons , because the climate is so cold that we can not stay out for long during time ,in case if I would travel I would choose a place where I can find my peace of mind , where I can stay away from the noise of cities ,..places like oasis, big moutains or beaches ..

Sometimes it's great to go in quiet place like mountains and rivers. Especially that if you are going by yourself or with partner. These places are perfect for relaxation and thinking about future. But sometimes it's great to go in seasides where are many people. It's nice to meet new friends in these locations
