have you wondered about this?
example your phone rings and you answered it.
you: hello.
person on the other line: hello, may i speak with _______?
whenever we answer our phone, we always say hello in a different tone. right? why is it that this has been a way of answering a phone call?
how do you answer your phone when it rings? do you start it with a "hello" or you say something else for your introduction?
happy posting and happy mylotting!

i always say hello. my grandmother never did. she always answered alright. she's the only person i ever knew that answered like that. she never would tell you bye either. when she got through talking she just hung up. she was a mess but a good mess

I have caller ID. So, it depends on who is calling as to how I answer the call. If it is a friend I might have a funny comment like 'how did that go today?' or something along those lines. Hello can get boring after a while and it is fun to mix it up alittle at times.
