hi hotshoes...there were a lot of shocking scenes for me. besides the ones you've mentioned, when he stood godfather to connie's baby and had her husband killed. when sonny was killed. when the man with glasses got shot on the masseuse table. i felt nervous when they were gonna kill abe vigoda. the way he was cornered and asked he they let him off for old times' sake.

yeah how could i forget about sonny, that was just brutal to the core. raining bullets literally. yeah i felt nervous for abe too but not as much for michael when he was guarding his father at the hospital. damn i must have been crazy for not watching this movie a few years ago. and watching the young vito kill the guy who killed his parents and bother was fulfilling too, stab and drag move

yes, those scenes too. and speaking of the scene with sonny. once my family and i drove thru an intersection that reminded my of the toll booth area where sonny went down, and i jokingly started to freak out. the part of my family that knew the scene was into it. hehe.

I have to admit, I've never finished the movie... nor the book. I've tried several times, but when I get to the horse's head in the bed... well, that just ends it for me. So, I guess that answers your question. Someday, I'll be woman enough to finish either or both of them, but for now, I'll just leave it at the horse. (still sends shivers down my spine!)
