It happens to everyone or almost everyone on MyLot that there are some of your posts which would not get a response. Not really because you don't have perfect English but more because there are so many posts and unless the title of your topic is attention getting the possibility exists that you get no response. Just keep on posting good topics and you will get responses from more serious MyLotters, serious in the sense that they are on the lookout for good discussions and not just trivial matters. And the more you post the more you will practice your writing and other language skills.

It happens. I have one discussion with 0 responses. Just don't take it too hard. Part of it is timing. If you post at a time when hardly anybody is here or when there are a lot of posts... well your post may get lost. Most people don't go past page 2. I try to look through the no responses to get some replies in and brighten the mood for some people, sometimes the discussion even takes off because it shows up on the front again. Don't worry, your English is improving and I had no problems with this post;)

This happens to me from time to time so don't take it personally. I was able to understand your post just fine. The best way to get responses to your posts is to ask questions that everyone can relate to. Ask people their opinions on things. And, if you have an interesting story to share, please do. Good luck!

hello there! i want you to know that you are not the only who has experiences like this.like you,i also made discussions which have few responses or no response at all.i don't take it personally and i understand that these things happen since there are lots of discussions open to be answered every second of the day.since there are more discussions to choose from, chances are, ours might not be the one that catches the interest of some of the mylotters here.so,i think we need to post discussions that tickle the fancy of other mylotters.happy mylotting!

Yeah it has happened to me...but I don't let it bother me. It may be because the discussion wasn't what the other members had on their mind at the time. Right now everyone is still thinking politics. I know I am. I think it has happened to almost everyone here at one time or other. But don't stress about it. Just go on and start another one. See it worked out just fine this time

Not all responses need to be commented on it is up to the digression of the person writing the discussion. I have responded to a lot of discussions and the person who started the discussion never commented on my response. Do not give up it happens to us all even if English is not your second language. I have started several discussions that I have had no responses also so if that does not make me feel a little unwanted. You never know what will catch the writers eye and what they want to respond to. I say keep trying. Good luck my friend

Yes, I think most mylotters have encountered that. You didn't do anything wrong. Since you are new, perhaps you should try to get more friends here.

Do you have many "friends"? The way it is supposed to work is that your friends respond to your discussions and you respond to theirs. Of course, every friend won't respond to every discussion but if you have enough of them you can get a good many responses. I have that trouble, too. I don't get many responses, mostly they're from strangers. Do you have your notify feature turned on so a notice comes into your mailbox that your friend has started a discussion? Do they have theirs turned on? That will help a lot. Don't feel bad. I think many of mine just don't appeal to many people and most of my friends don't have their "notify" turned on. I think your English is very good!

I always appreciate a response but it never really hurts my feelings if people don't respond. Its not like I was talking to anyone specific, so no one has an obligation to respond... if that makes sense. I sometimes check the no responses just because its a fun way to select posts. I don't do it because I feel sorry for anyone. I just do it, cause I do. Don't take it personally when people don't respond, and your english seems to be functioning very well. I'm impressed! Keep posting and dont let those none responders get you down.

Yup,no one has an obligation to respond,I always feel shy if I can't respond for my friend' new discussions,I always do my best to learn English for writing and speaking, but ,the result isn't well. Thanks for your response!
