With the families are now becoming nuclear, don’t you think most of are lack a good support. Lacking someone to share our problems, to get a wise suggestion. Earlier we had big families, now it reduced to a husband, wife and 1 or 2 children. So earlier we had more chances of getting involved with. What are your views on this?

I make my own informed decisions based on research. I have no family members to help me with any of my problems. I can face all my difficulties alone, because there is a vast amount of information and knowledge to be accessed easily on the internet.
Now anyone can read about other people with the same problems, or in a similar situation, and can find free professional advice. They can share their problems with other people at sites like myLot, or search for relevant websites which can help to resolve the situation.
In the past people were often afraid to tell their family about some of their very personal issues, but now they can do it anonymously and get help, without being judged or facing prejudices.

I was asking about support in person. Sharing your worries with someone at a far place is also good. Anyway there is nothing like having someone near you.
Regarding sharing personal issues with family members; when in a big family there is always a chance to share it in person. To one you may share some, to another some other.
For eg. whenever I get some illness would ask for some home remedies from my Grandma. She was more than happy to share it.
To family friends, of my age could share more personal matters.
We are in short of all these supports now. No technologies could substitute it.
Well, I'm also from a nuclear family with very very less family support!

what you said is the fact.the big family can bring us more warmth when you're in trouble.they can start a big discussion to help you to solve your problem.it will makes you more important than before in your family.but on the other hand, you'll lose something like free if you're the youngest.everybody want to make the decision instead of you.anyway, this is the advantages and disadvantages.

Hi bvdev234,
Now days people just cannot afford to have many children like they used with the inflation today, it is a struggle with 1 or two children, years ago people used to make ends meet ans kids have to make do with whatever the parents do for them, they didn't have kids wanting expensive computers in the od days.
