If a movie were made about your life, who would you want to play YOU?

I posted a similar discussion around two years ago and it never went anywhere so I thought I would try again! lol. Your life has been seen as interesting by a movie production house and you have creative control to choose ANY actor you like to play the role of you. Who would you choose?

Meg Ryan - Meg Ryan would portray me most aptly.
This is a tricky one, James! A good one for the shopping! Okay, as of now, I can only think of one name Meg Ryan. She is one of my favorites but not that I am just crazy about her. Its not even that fact we two share the same birthday. But the fact that we have a lot of mannerisms and gestures in common, like walking, conversing, her honest eyes and a girl next door look. If you remember the movie 'You've gotta mail', I think that she resembles much of me in the way she carries herself, sometimes fidgety, righteousness, shy, jittery at times, less girly and ofcourse inexpressive love that she portrays so convincingly. I am much like her in that movie. I believe she would portray my story with finesse and she wouldn't have to do much actually. I feel, she would do it better than I would do it myself. If that makes sense!

'Sleepless in Seattle' is my favorite as well. What if someone you never met, someone you never saw, someone you never knew was the only someone for you? , who can forget this! And i agree there is something very cosy about Meg Ryan that makes her stand out and like her attitude a lot. She would just befit my cast.

Maybe Abishek could play you in the earlier years Cooldev and Amitabh could then play the later ones! lol. The best thing about the movies is that they could turn each of our lives into an amazing story of they really wanted to so the hostel angle could be handled very well indeed! Thanks for responding to the discussion.

If i were to look at my life from a very serious aspect James, I probably would suggest Leonardo DiCaprio. But if i want to look at it from a funny and hilarious side then it would be Peter Sellers. Of course he's no more , but i think he would be most apt.

Hmmmm.....thinking, thinking. I'd have to go for Jodie Foster. I'm not gay by the way, had to add that just in case you thought....... She is versatile, and could cover my many moods. Makes me think what of my life could be portrayed on screen. Makes you think!

Jodie Foster is a great actress Tetchie, good choice! She was fantastic in "Silence of the Lambs" and no wonder she won an Oscar for that role. She has been around for many years now and even starred in a musical movie called Bugsy Malone when she was a child! Thanks for the response.

I don't have any idea right now who would play my role in life. Maybe I'll try to think again later, it makes my brain works and it hurts. I can't really think of someone. I feel like I'm in the middle of a board examination. Gee this is quite hard! Maybe I'll ask my husband later. He might know who is suited for me. :D

ROFL The movie production house would be the laughing stock of the industry and actresses would be running and hiding for fear of being offered the role.

Very true pinky! Plus we should never underestimate the power of Hollywood Studio magic! No matter how boring anyone may feel their life may have been with the right bells and whistles it can be turned into a blockbuster!

Why? What's your life story anyway? You know there's always Walt Disney or Looney Tunes. And i am pretty sure hollywood actresses would line up for a vocal audition.

Hands down, Phyllis Diller. I know, she's not an actress, but, that's who I want, darn it! But, that's not something I really ever have to think about. I really am pretty boring.*L*

Phyllis Diller! Wow. This is certainly the most unusual choice so far Bo. You sure you don't want Carmen Miranda instead? I am sure with a bit of movie magic we could make your life into a blockbuster too. Whack a few dinosaurs or aliens or something in there..... No-one needs to know! lol. Thanks for the response.

Drew Barrymore or Meg Ryan. The interesting part about my life is having been engaged seven times to five different men at various times. So this would probably be a chick flick and having seen lots of their movies, either of these actresses could play me so well. What about you James? Who would you choose?

Two big hitters in the movie industry pinky! Maybe Barrymore could play you as younger and Ryan as older and they could BOTH star in the movie about your life! As for myself, I would like Matt Damon to play me I think. I thought he was great in "Good Will Hunting" for one and like his acting style. Thanks for responding and yes, of COURSE your movie would have to be a chick flick pinky!

I can assure you that with those names you are definitely likely to have a hit on your hands. Jerry Seinfeld is an interesting choice though! Robert Downey Jnr has turned his life around big time. He was fantastic in Iron Man and very funny in Tropic Thunder too. I have read many articles about him where other Actors and Director's have said that he is an absolute genius! This is not a bad accolade at all when you consider what a mess his life was in a few years ago. I have always liked Jack Black too. He has a very unusual and "in your face" style of humour and his musical ability is quite good as well!

I think i should also get to choose the leading man. I choose Patrick Dempsey or Robert Downey Jr. to play my husband. As for the four "X-men" who froze-feet and never thawed after our engagement, i would so love the following actors: Jack Black to play John, Jerry Seinfield to play Alfredo, Ben Stiller to play Rolando and Owen Wilson to play Cloloy. I think all these men fit the respective roles. It will sure be a big hit!!!!

I think it would have to be Anne Hathaway. From her Princess Diaries days to The Devil Wears Prada to Rachel Getting Married, her characters have evolved from being that gangly and clumsy girl to someone who knows what she wants to someone who can be emotionally and mentally exhausting. I think she could play me really well (I only realized this after thinking out the choices for this discussion). She just has to work on her tan a little bit more.

Hahaha. Actors these days are amazingly adept at taking on roles that require complete physical and not just character changes, so I think that Anne Hathaway sorting out a tan will not be a major stretch for her at all! A rags to riches; ugly duckling to swan; mouse to lion character evolution story seems to get the bums on seats in movies too so this sounds like yet another well considered choice! Thanks for the response SaintAnne.

Worse case we'll just whack on a lens filter or play around with some special effects. Don't be too concerned about it, we'll work through it!

I want Lindsay Lohan to portray me in the movie. LOL. Apart of her bad publicity lately, I would probably chose her because I like her. I actually think she could play in a movie. I actually would choose Catherine Zeta Jones, but since she was too old to be me, Lindsay Lohan would be enough. Or Kristen Dunst. I think she is pretty, LOL, and I would like to be portrayed by someone pretty like her. Or Megan Fox, the only reason I chose her was because my partner like her so much, so that it should be enough to represent me LOL

Wow, you have a number of options here klaudine so maybe they can all audition and then you can pick the best! They are all actors with very different styles too so it would be interesting to see how each one would choose to interpret the character of you! Thanks for responding to the discussion.

I honestly cant think of who would play me.....i just asked my son and he hasnt a clue either, although he said he would like Jack Black to play him!! I would like Keiffer Sutherland's character Jack Bauer to play my husband......or maybe Vin Diesel, or Jason Statham, or Will Smith, or............yes the list could go on!!!! hugs Jessica

For local actresses, I would choose Joyce Jimenez. We actually share the same features. I know she was once a "bold star" but I really don't care. I like Joyce Jimenez, beautiful and sexy, very sensual and passionate. Her eyes are just expressive and her voice and accent are just cute! Well, I told you we have the same features, hahaha! If a Hollywood actress will play my life though, I will choose Angelina Jolie for the same reasons.

I will have to look up Joyce Jiminez because to be honest I do not know of her. But given the words you have used to describe her this sounds like a good choice! I think many people like Angelina Jolie, so once again, another good choice. Thanks for responding to the discussion.
