In this election the only thing that I am sure of is that neither candidate impresses me greatly. I think Obama would be a good choice if he wasnt so busy playing the issues. By this I mean the race issue and the victim issue. He is so busy trying to answer to the smear from the McCain camp that he's losing it with me. I dont think he uses the race card as weve seen it in the past. I do however think that minorities are more apt to vote for him because he looks like the stereotype. Let me tell you Mr. Obama nor Mr McCain have ever seen a food stamp much less used one. I think that just because your black doesnt mean you understand the causes. John McCain is spending so much time pointing out Obama's flaws that he's losing sight of the important things. The sad part is that in the end we will be the ones who will suffer. For them I believe its a matter of having to win to avoid the "egg on your face". I just wish there was someone else.

I can hardly wait for the election to be overwith. I have to say that Obama seems to impress me alot more than McCain does. I wish we would get someone who knows what the heck to do to help this country out.

I'm not real impressed with our choices, and you are right, we are going to suffer if we have a president who is more interested in playing politician than in addressing our nation's problems- which is what both seem to be doing. In a situation like this, you can't vote for a candidate you like, so you vote for the one who is not as bad as the other. Decide who you think would be worse, then vote for the other. I know that's not easy to do, since they're pretty much neck-and-neck in my book. All we can do is hope that once the election is over, whoever wins puts politics aside and focuses on fixing what is wrong in our country.

I just really wish that they would stop bashing each other. They need to deal with issues.

As far as I'm concerned, they both sold us out in voting for that scam financial bailout-power grab. I am now supporting Chuck Baldwin-constitution party. It's a vote of concience. McCain had a chance to prove to me he was reaaly a maverick, he could have voted no on that bill and instead faught for some of the other solutions being presented. He had a chance to prove to me he was really a federalist/constitutionalist by voting no on handing all that power to the federal reserve, but he didn't. They both sold their souls to the devil and our's down the river. Constitution party 08.

I hate kenyani politicians with a PASSION.......And I will never vote for any of these blood suckers. Obama is lucky he was never brought up here but that doesnt mean he is trustworthy or not. I am not really into politics so I leave it that way.

If you don't like McCain or Obama, why don't you check out the third party candidates? There's nothing that says you have to vote for a democrat or a republican.

Hate is a really tough word to use, let's tone it down a bit and say "don't like" or some word in that order. While I was watching a round table on "meet the press" or a similar program a few days ago, they were discussing the ability of the candidates to get us out of the mess in Iraq and also the financial mess that we are in. It was brought up by one of the persons there that Obama has several smart advisers behind him and they seemed to give the opinion that he would be the best choice for president. "Sarah Piranha" is trying to make hay spreading wrong information about Obama who was 8 years old when he was rumored to be involved with Ayres. She is an "attack dog" and they are trying to get the votes left on the table by Hillary by McCain choosing Palin as a running mate. This proves that they didn't have the concerns of the economy or the citizens, all they were concerned about was trying to win the election with that stupid move.

Amen to that. I am generally a conservative (not necessarily a Republican), but I have been very disappointed in John McCain's campaign. I'm not sure whether its his fault or the fault of his campaign manager but they have nothing cohesive going on. Just attack Obama's character and associations - so what does that have to do with you being President? Maybe its all the mainstream media will report cuz they know we'll all hate it. Maybe McCain is trying to other things but can't get any air time for them. I don't know. I liked Sarah Palin when she first came on the scene. But know it seems like they've made her some kind of attack dog. Not very attractive. How can politics be so screwed up in such a great country?

Where is Paul Paulson when we really need him? I would rather see anyone but McCain or Obama in office. There has to be someone. Maybe Carl Sagen or your favorite teacher. Something has to give.

I don't like Obama or McCain either. The problem is that the other party candidates are duds too and have no chance of winning, not that I'd want any of them to. I just pray that whoever wins the election is smarter than he's shown so far.

My husband said the same thing about both candidates. He was dissapointed of both candidates and he dont know if any of them will ever help improve the current economic problem. He wish someone better would have been chosen to run as president.

If you hate them all, do research on the non-mainstream candidates and start spreading the word about them. If people get enough education about other candidates on the ticket, it may just be enough to bring the 2 major parties down.

Obama doesn't 'play' the race or 'victim' card. What are you talking about? You are wrong about the food stamps, by the way. Obama's mother HAS used them while he was growing up. That's a well-known fact. "I think that just because your black doesnt mean you understand the causes." No one has ever seriously argued that Obama understands 'the causes' because of his skin color. He understands them because of his own experiences AND his experience as a community organizer, helping out a community who had just lost a large number of jobs from a steel plant closing down. He wasn't the son of an Admiral who got special treatment, unlike his opponent, who SOMEHOW was still allowed in a plane despite scoring 894 out of 899 at the academy. But McCain sure showed them he had the right stuff...by crashing four planes (not counting the one that was SHOT down in Vietnam). You have a lot of strange misconceptions about Obama. Really scratching my head wondering where you got these ideas.

I am not impressed with either of them either. Too many "sound bits" and not enough substance. But then again I pretty well hate our "do nothing" congress. So I feel electing someone from congress to the white house is insane. They suck at the job they already have. Why promote them? No one in congress deserves to be re-elected to congress, much less be given the white house. When they BOTH voted in favor of the bailout filled with ear marks that pretty well finished me off. THey BOTH have been talking about getting rid of waste and stop lobbyist and special interest groups. Yet they voted for a bill with tons of ear marks in it. Did they come out and tell the press about it? Did they stand up to their own parties and DEMAND the earmarks be removed? NO. They just proved to me that neither one is what we need. THey are more of the same, statis quo. Actions speak louder than words and their actions just went against everything they have been telling us for the past year. They are liars.
