good morning mylotters! last night while i was doing some things online, i came across a quotation by martin luther king jr and i thought it was so thought-provoking that i wanted to share it. he said- "A man who won't die for something is not fit to live." wow, that statement says so much. when i first read that i though immediately of my children, for obvious reasons. but then i started thinking back to when my husband and i were dating. i still remember a conversation that we had over the phone one night, and we were talking about love and being in love and knowing that you love someone, etc. well, i can't remember his exact words, but he basically said that he thought the best way to describe love is that you are willing to die for someone. we talked about that statement for a few minutes, and then i remember asking him if he would die for me. i think i was kindof kidding around, but he said "yes, i would" and it was so serious and i was a bit surprised. i was so touched by that. of course i would do the same. my children, my husband, my parents and grandparents, my sister and brother, and my nieces and nephews- all those who i would gladly give my life for. what do you think about this quote?
