Dear Frends, I just want to ask you. What does those stars and rank means that seen on the side of user names? Is it some kind of level? Some grade of the earning that you got? And what it comes up for? Some user has a higher star (the number inside is more) while he/she has the less numbers of post? What that's supposed means to be? And what will I should do to get those too? Some referrals?

The stars are quite a debated subject by a good many people on myLot. Sometimes you can drop down in number on your star, if say, a lot of people don't happen to like what you've said - as has been described above regarding the ranking system. Often, people seem to become quite offended by this, and all manner of text tantrums get slung about, so, I hope for your peace of mind that, if you do ever get downgraded in number, you don't let it get to you. Besides, your rank will come back after a short while anyhow - as more and more people like what you say. I hope you enjoy it all. Best wishes, GTG

Hi 070707, truly unique username I must admit. Coming to the topic: star: the star that appears on top of the profile photo of myLot user is the the rating that other myLotters give to that particular user. When you read someone's discussion or response, towards the right of the post you might be able to see a +,- and ! symbols. They are used to rate that particular post. The star rating only a yardstick to gauge how useful one's posts have been to other mylotters and doesn't really reflect the competence of the person posting. rank: The rank that appears beside your profile pic, is your rank in that particular interest in which you've just posted. A rank is suggestive of how active you are in participating in discussions of a particular interest. NOTE: you can be ranked for your activity in any interest with a few posts but you'll need atleast 100 posts before you get your star rating.

dear these star show that out of every 100 members who view and rate your posts how many agree with you and the rest don't. there is always a + - ! sign after every post and each mylotter rates the posts + for good,- for bad and ! for report abuse. when you reach your 100 posts a star appears on your avatar and that shows your mylot rating. you need to make 100 posts before that rating starts showing. hope that explains.
