I love you but I told you so...

So I enjoyed another The Office episode last night. The bit with Jim trying to bait Dwight to "waste company time" by describing Battlestar Galactica inaccurately was "frakking" funny.
But Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) actually said something that got me thinking.
"How do you tell somebody that you care about deeply, 'I told you so'?"

Man I wish I could get episodes of "The Office" here. This episode sounds hilarious! I loved the original British version with Ricky Gervais and the US version is not a bad follow up at all. Steve Carrell is just as cringeworthy as Gervais ever was and I too have always loved the relationship between Jim and Dwight in both versions. I have a lot of catching up to do when I get home I think! I shall put the box-set on my Christmas stocking list!

Sadly, I still haven't bought the fourth season of the Office (US) out on dvd right now. Once I start earning money again, that will be one of my to-buy list. Or, maybe wait until Christmas because I lasted this long, why not wait even more? Hmmm.
Here's a link to the Jim-Dwight Battlestar Galactica scene I was talking about. You don't have to read the whole article (recap of the show), but it's on the third and last part of the article. Although I think the link will let you go there directly, duh, SaintAnne! Enjoy!

Unfortunately, for me, Santa falls under the same no-no category as clowns, mimes and moving mannequins.

It works for the one on the receiving end too, because it makes light out of a situation that could get mighty serious, hahahaha. This way they can smack you one for being annoying and it's over and done with.

Funnily enough I was going to add that you should also be prepared to be clouted at the end of my previous comment but I decided not to! I figured that after a glass of sangria in the face recently you may have been a little more sensitive than usual. You weren't "na-na-na-ing" at the time were you?

I laughed so hard that whole episode! I lost it during the the scene you described.
I think "I told you so" should be done in a very funny way.
Oh BTW at Target (at least in mine) in the dollar section, there is a TON of "The Office" stuff; pens pencils, sticky note, coffee mugs, to do lists.. etc. I went hog wild and spent a lot of money. I figure I know a lot of people that love "The Office", great Christmas presents!

I agree that "I told you so" should be done in a funny way but then again, I think a lot of us has gone this route on serious occasions too.
Yes, I've got myself a Dwight mug that says I am my boss's go-to-guy at Target. And pencils and a to-do list paper which I haven't really used. When I was in NY, I went to the NBC Rockefeller Center and got me a bigger mug of World's Best Boss. I use it almost everyday. Boyfriend got the Earl one and a shirt with his mug shot on it.
