At present, here in the UK then assisted suicide is eleagle.
I know that some people with mental health problems have said they would like to die and that it is not a good option for them as a little help and/or medication may make them enjoy life again but....
What about people who are so ill that they have no life, just pain?
MS sufferer Debbie Purdy is seeking clarification on assisted suicide law at the moment, its been in the news alot here.
I have 2 friends with MS and a grandmother who at the age of 70 has cancer and has rescently lost her husband, all of these people wish that assisted suicide was available to them.
I know that if i was so ill that my life was nothing but awfull pain, that i would want it to stop too! to me it seems stupid that a government can think they are so important that they can tell people that they do not have a choice about something that is so personal!Anyway, what do you lot think, im very interested to hear.
Cheers.

Yeah, I agree with you. It's not fair that the government can tell you what you can and can't do with your own body. What ever happened to freedom?

Indeed, to me it just seems so stupid!
One of my closest friends (after i spoke to him about my grandma) said to me "if that ever happens to me joe, then pull the plug will ya? I dont want to ever be like that".
And i told him that i would, if the situation ever came up.
But to think that after going threw all that and helping a loved one to die, that the police would knock on your door and give you a lengthy prison sentence, well its just dumb.
