It's so hard to say. I mean we all eventually have some common ground. I know some people that would hate to have someone that is really similar to them and others that would really hate to have someone so different from them. I don't think people necessarily have to be on opposite ends of the spectrum but why would we be attracted to people not like us? This theory only applies to personality though because people tend to like people like themselves when it comes to the physical. Any thoughts as to why we're drawn to people not like us? I suppose it could be so that you can learn from each other. I don't know. Please share!

You can't really say that we're attracted to people opposed to us. We're much more attracted to people that share the same views on the world, sometimes tastes and still they have something that we don't have and that thing completes us. That's what you can call "love".

Opposite attraction. Wow. I always love this kind of interesting topic. Yeah. I have asked these questions to my friends too, because it seem, it is not only us that would be attracted more to those who has different personalities and characteristics, we are also tend to more able to cope with those people than those with similar characteristics and personalities.
People tend to make some criteria for someone that they want for a relationship, they want to find someone that would be able to cope with them, understanding and they want someone that has the same interest, someone just like them. But somehow when it comes to reality they tend to fall with someone that was totally different.
You might have given something that might be true. But according to me, people would like something because they know they don't have it. People like something because they know that they can't do something. And people who is really the opposite could make things that they think can't be done, be done.
