Every time I start dancing, I look like a complete dork. I mean, I know some hip hop moves, but even then, I still look like a white girl can't dance- and I am white (so no bashing!). It's funny... my twin sister knows how to dance, but I can't. Also, my mother and father can't dance, so I can't see how my sister got it. I will learn how to dance before I die.... I just hope it's soon!

I started to do some dance classes but I ended up dropping them becuase of lack of money and time. At first I get shy to dance but after some minutes I dance like a wild one. Look you don't have to be a specialist to dance, you only need to let the music lead you. Just move along with a song. To make it easier while you are alone pick a nice song and study it, listen to it very carefully...steady bu steady you feel your fingers and feet trying to move along with the ritm, at this point dance, just have fun. For slow musics dance slow and stay calm feel your partner and watch her moves, without even noticing it you'll see that you can dance. I always I dance like a fool but some said that I dance good and that i enjoy myself, i don't know if it's true never pictured myself while i'm dancing but I truly have a geart time dancing. Dancing normally, not like a professional (who takes the moves too serious loosing the fun of a normal and common dance), is better. Just let your wildest spirit out of you and have fun, ignore the people around you concentrate just upon you and your dance partner and listen to the music. I always do this and so far i've never stepped someone...well I occasilnaly bump on the dancers near me because of the space and my wish to dance a lot. Don't take the dance seriously, dance is for fun and happy moment!

Psst.. can you keep a secret?
Hehe.. i can't dance for nuts too! And the worst thing? I love to dance!
Lol.. the trick to dancing is just to be yourself. I had a friend who told me this when I was too embarrassed to dance as I know I am a very bad dancer who is totally out of rythm. The advice that was given was just this simple: Just move to the music, be yourself and enjoy! Even if you dance badly, no one will be laughing as everybody else will be just as self conscious as you are.
This is very good advice.. and pretty soon over the years of dancing, I had forgotten that I was a very bad dancer and soon, even though only my head is flexible, I can even gather up the courage to go up the podium on the dance floor and dance. Well, everybody was laughing at me.. but then who cares? The main thing is that I had fun!
And you can do! Soon, you will realise that when we are not so conscious of ourselves any longer, we will dance better and better and maybe one day you might be just as good as your wife!? Hehe
Well, take care and happy mylotting!!

I'm not a very good dancer either but love to dance. I dance all the time when I'm home alone. At weddings or other occasions it lakes a lot of courage for me to start. But once I push and start then I don't sit down. I've always wanted to take some lessons but have yet to make the time.
Maybe you and your wife could take some lessons together. You might both enjoy it and her feet might be happier.

Yes, i do and i love dancing though my feet are both left sided. but i always find dancing a good therapy for body pain, to loose wieght and trim body fats and bost our self-steem.. this is from my self experience. we can indulge our body movement and enjoy the beat of the music not necessarily in the disco or a party but we can do it as part of our daily routine as an excercise.

Well to be honest, I don't know how to dance either :D Actually it depends on the music, if I like the music, then I can do some good moves to it :D Else it would be hard for me..
Also I believe the first move is always ridiculous :D Just look at it :D And you will see it is true.. Next time you go out or so, look at someone who is about to make his first dance-move and you'll see it is ridiculous

well dancing is an art. if you want to dance you should feel the music. but if you are like so nervous about it you can never learn it. every time you dance, stop thinking. it will only creat distraction, try to loosen up. it suppose to express your innerself, and you are there to interpret the music. that why the key is listening to it. before learning the steps you should try listening to the music. and you will be surprise that your body will move to the melody (and beat)of the song even if you don't have any steps to follow. try to sway your body with the beat first and if you can do it you are ready for the next steps.

i wouldn't worry too much about it-my partner has two stiff legs and i mean stiff[lol] he can slow dance which is fine with me.When we get up to something aster i just get him to move a little more with the top half-lol=legs on bottom are just kinda bending up and down-it works and were happy. happy mylotting

Hi there iyah10!
I have always been good in dancing. My parents say that I loved dancing even before I went to nursery school. I remember years back when I was younger, my cousins and I as well as other friends would be invited to dance as part of some intermission numbers in some gatherings. I was a member of the dance troupe when I was in grade school. I was also a member of the dance troupe when I was in high school. Then, when I was in college, I started choreographing. I still dance until now and I am thankful to have been blessed with such talent. It's never to late to learn how to dance. Nobody is born a great dancer. We develop the talent through constant practice.

Hi iyah. Yes I know and I love to dance. Your wife is right it is very easy. What you need is practice only. If you never dance how you will learn how to do this? why you don't dance in your home with her? put some type of music and dance with her two or three times in week. You and your wife will have fun and you will learn how to dance very well.
Have a good night.
