well.. we are seeing a recent trend in the premier league that clubs are being purchased by foreign billionaires .. take for instance Chelsea is owned by Russian Billionaire Roman Abramovich and the recent purchase of Manchester City by Arab very very very rich man Sheikh Mansour .. so .. i wanna know..is too much influx of foreign owners and with the resultant money ..a boon or a bane for the premier league???

I think the main influence an owner has on a club is directly linked to the amount of money invested. The club staff decides how that money is used, what manager to bring and the marketing strategy. The manager chooses the players and is the main responsible for the results. The owner's influences the manager's decisions when it comes to buying players, because that's when money are an issue. I think the nationality of the owner is not at all decisive. It's not the country that money comes from that's important, cut the amount of money. Honestly now, do you think Chelsea would have made it to the level they are right now without Abramovich's money?

..well.. yeah.. chelsea owes a lot to Roman Abramovich's for the position they are in now .. and chelsea's success is becoz of the money brought in by Abramovich.. butt. that means success is equal to money .. so as the club gets richer n richer more international players arrive .. putting aside the local footballing talents and also.. now the difference between between a big club and a small club is not bout how good their players play but how much money they have.. coz a richer club can always buy talented international players.. so isnt money dictating the terms nw ..isnt football taking a back seat .??

I think there is a contradiction in your comment... In the first sentence you're saying that the difference is not about how good players are, and in the second on you say that the richer club has better performance because of more talented players... I understand what you're basically trying to say, but I don't think that money dictates the winner. Money helps bringing together quality players, and the player's talent brings trophies. In the end football quality that brings the trophies (in my opinion, of course).

It is a boon to the players and to the FA as it brings in lot of moolah and thus makes it rich. But it is a bane to the game of the football as it means that the local footballing culture is going to be crushed under the business requirements of the new owners. So in that way it is a boon for some and bane for majority of the fans of the game. Cheers! Ram

its nice to see foreign billionaires investing in EPL clubs these billionaires make sure to give full financial support to their clubs when ever they need it and it makes the transfer window more interesting not only the clubs are fighting their heart out for the title but also they fight for a player the management of the club asks for so i think its a boon beside the final decision of whom to play is with the team management
