Part two of my Filipino Suck post. (please comment if you want)
I know I have offended other people in my last post. Especially my fellow filipinos. Now you have felt the things I've felt when I heard this myself from other nationalities and from fellow filipinos.
We have been over rated and under estimated. Here are a few things I love about Filipinos, reasons why I try my best to defend them, why I love being Filipino and why I am PROUD TO BE PINOY.
1. Our Family Ties, although some say they are not as tight as they were before. I still admire how we were taught to use the "po and opo" to give respect to those who are older than us. Even the "Ate and Kuya".
In my work place, most people call each other by names, despite the age gap. But we Filipinos still apply the respect even if we were in a higher position than those older than us.
2. If people say we do not help fellow filipinos in their need, they are wrong. It so happens whenever someone new comes in work or a neighborhood, especially if they are filipino, we tell them in tagalog, "pinoy ka" and suddenly that new filipino's face just lights up and says "THANK GOD! YOU'RE FILIPINO!"
It feels like you're safe if you're with fellow filipinos.
3. I love the Philippines because you can do almost anything there. Not because of the law but for example, you don't need a car to go to the mall, to school, to your friend's house.
4. In the Philippines, I have heard most foreigners comment on why even if people have no money they still have a smile on their faces. Its because, Filipinos are simple people, they are happy just as long as they have others to be with, to share their problems, to spend time with, etc.
I could go on.
I know on my last post, I was thought to be an anti filipino. But I am not. I want to see how many people out there still think good about us.
I am sorry for those whom I've offended, and I feel sorry for those who have offended their fellow filipinos.
I hope one day we could all just get along and show the world what great people we have. That we are as smart as other races, that we are as qualified as other races and that Filipinos should be proud to be Filipinos.

We Filipinos are a great people. But we lack one thing now (which we have before), and that is total unity. Now, Filipinos prioritize survival -- own survival. Only few really think of the "many" Filipinos. But still, I do admire us. Yes it is true that no matter how problematic life is, we never fail to smile and laugh. And yes, about seeing co-Filipinos abroad, it really is true. We once went to Hong Kong and when the Pinoys there saw co-Pinoy visitors, they somewhat became happy and excited. It's really good to have your fellowmen around you even if you are outside the country.
We Filipinos have our own good qualities and flaws too just like any other nationality. I think we are unique from others as they are unique from us so we shouldn't let ourselves be inferior to them but instead be equal to them. We can't tell the future of our country yet. In our Soc Sci class, our teacher asked us who thinks Philippines will be better in the following years, and there are a few who raised their hands. Good thing not everybody are thinking that our country's condition will be worse later.

Yes I think so too. We are all unique, so we should not feel inferior among other.
It is nice that no everyone in your class thinks that our country is about to go downhill.
For me, the government should prioritize the basic necessities such as water, food and housing. I really want to live the day that the Philippines would be out of the list of THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES.

I love the Filipino ingenuity especially during a crisis. we are one of the happiest people on earth. at least we don't get to hear news everyday of Filipinos ending their lives because of economic woes.

We might not know if there is any incident like that.
I am glad you chose to comment here and not on my other post.
I love the Philippines, I love it so much that I would love to save enough monoey to afford living there. I know that it is one of the countries that believe that you dont need money to be happy. But we have to be realistic.
