Giving God the Glory
Corrie ten Boom is a Dutch woman who was imprisoned by the Germans during the World War II for hiding Jews. She had her life’s true story of survival, hope, and faith.
The story began when someone informed the Nazis that Corrie’s father, a strong Christian, and family were hiding Jews in their home. They were discovered, and Corrie and her family were sent in a concentration camp. Corrie lost her entire family but not her faith. She lived on and told others about the GOD who not only allowed her to survive but also empowered her to forgive those who persecuted and tormented her.
Long after the war, Floyd McClung of YWAM visited Corrie ten Boom (at a ripe old age of seventy). He noticed she has just purchased new luggage. Floyd, very surprised to see a lady of Corrie’s age buying luggage, asked her why she made this purchase. Corrie told him that an angel had visited her in a vision. When he inquired as to why the angel had come, she told him that God had sent the angel to let her know that she had ten more years to live. So Corrie went out and celebrated by purchasing brand new luggage.
Five years later, Corrie’s health diminished to the point that she suffered greatly and had very limited mobility. While in the hospital in terrible pain, Floyd came to visit again. In their conversation, he was told that she had had a second angel visit her. This angel had informed her that the pain and agony she was going through was going to result in her death, and that she was never going to get better. Corrie had protested, telling the angel that she had five more years to live. The angel responded by saying that her heavenly Father was aware of this but had sent the angel to tell her that He was willing to take her home early. With that, Corrie was faced with a troubling decision: go on to be with the Lord or endure incredible suffering and pain for another five years?
How would you reply? Maybe the same way we would. We would choose to avoid the pain, escape the hardship, and eliminate the suffering. Why would anyone choose anything different? It’s at times like this when we discover what people are made of. And we learn what made Corrie ten Boom different.
Corrie answered the angel with a question: “Which will bring my Father the greatest glory? Going to be with Him now or enduring the five years of suffering?” The angel said, “Staying here and enduring five more years.” And with that, Corrie gave her answer: “Then that is what I choose.”
How could she have made such a decision? What made her so different? Simply this:
Corrie didn’t live for her own ease and comfort; she lived for the glory of her Father.
What came of those five years? While Corrie ten Boom had been a household name among millions of Christians around the world before that time, God used those last hears to seal a picture of what it means to live faithfully in the hearts and minds of many more people. Corrie has shown that life is to be lived for our Father’s glory- even if it means enduring pain and suffering- and not for ourselves.
This causes us to ask a very simple question: How much glory do we (I) want to give to God? Do we (I) want to give Him some glory, a lot of glory, or maximum glory?
And this last question: Why do God deserve the glory?......

Since you are talking about angels, the book of Revelation, in the Bible, has much to say about angels. In Revelation 4:11, it states and I paraphrase 'to give God glory because He made all things and it is by His will that we exist.' So I'll go for as much glory as I can give Him.

Corrie ten Boom its my first time i hear about her she is Great Person , as your story she doing the glory for the lord , may at the time she was live she face alot of problem ,
ur questions:
How much glory do we give to God? we should give the glory to lord through the whole life not today or 1 year , let ur life be the glory to God , likewise your behaveior and talk with other in respect will be glory , bible said + The Heaven declare the glory of god the skies proclaim the work of his hand + Psalm 19,even the nature give the glory to lord .
Why do God Deserve the glory? i think all of us know the salvation story and how God accept all the pain to bring us again to heaven , but let read the below words + His Divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness+ 2 peter
what ealse we need he save us and given us everything we need for life , he worth our golry .
